... so I decided to run to the summit of Mt. Whitney, 14,494 ft., the highest point in the contiguous US. Then I ran a marathon in Death Valley and got lost in a canyon. Then I decided that exercise was stupid and hung around with the Elite XC Ring Card Girls. The end.

How much did the helicopter cost?

I Doubt you RAN to the top of Whitney. I have done that hike and its brutal at the end, that last set of switch backs going up to the summit :-\.

;) My times were (from the portal store to the summit) 4:05 up and 3:10 down. Weather was perfect. Minimum snow and ice on the switchbacks near the cables. Very cold at the summit. Was it a fast run? No. But it was as fast as I can run.

damn, cardio for me is taking the trash out to the curb, Tommy is one tough Irishman.

Very cool my man. I actually think that guys who have a tough times at altitude and still keep going are much tougher than the guys who have a good day. I had a good day. When did you climb Whitney?

You run for fun?! Please tell me there is some other reason you are running, like maybe your chasing a hot chick or Megan Fox was waiting on top of the mountain to suck you off.
