Can someone explain to me why the correct holds are Jack in 1 and Queen in 2? ???

They pay out Jacks or better, so you hold the Jack (and Ace) and the Queen (and Ace) so that if you draw a pair to either one you get paid. Pairing the 10 (alone) pays nothing.
