Title: Why did Palin refuse to defend McCain?
Post by: donrhummy on October 02, 2008, 11:48:42 PM
After Biden pointed out how McCain was a "deregulator", the moderator asked Palin if she wanted to rebut that claim. Palin said instead she'd like to talk about taxes. Then Biden pointed out she never rebutted/denied the claim about McCain, so the moderator gave Palin another chance and a SECOND time she said she'd rather talk about taxes!   Why did she refuse to defend McCain? She could have easily lied/stretched-the-truth as she'd already done a number of times. So why did she avoid that one?

because she couldn't!  That line persued shows the massive deregulation support by McCain... It's absolutely laughable that she tried to say McCain was the champion of regulation.... ahahahahaha... OMG, WTF.. No doubt she wanted to move fast away from that.  Called on it, it would have been her end.  Fact is McCain has been the foremost champion of banking deregulation.

Sure, but she was willing to lie about a number of other things, why not here? For example, she lied about General McKiernan's statements about the surge TWICE even though he'd made them ONE day before. (Oh, and BTW, she didn't even know his name. She called him McClellan.)

The deregulators:
