The Picture that caused panic in 1975. Pumping Iron was being filmed and everybody feared that Arnold would get beaten as he was still under-sized after "Stay Hungry" when compared to 1974. SO, they banned Serge from the contest and only reinstated him 2 weeks before the event after hearing he had hardly eaten and not trained since the ban!
What may have been eh?!

i was there when he was presented with a birthday cake for his 70 th birthday.
he was presenting trophies at the NABBA MR UNIVERSE held in Southport U.K. on 4th October 08.
i wanted to give him the bumps for his birthday but wasn't allowed !

Serge was a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better BB than Arnold. But Arnold was more marketable and sucked cilometers of Weider-cocks, so his title was never in danger.

It was something to do with a movie he made. The IFBB claimed he was in an X Rated scene or something but it was later strangely found to be wrong, hence the re-instatement. They couldn't risk anything with all the money being spent into "Pumping Iron" - As it was, even 15 pounds underweight and not at his best, Serge still left the fim makers with a headache when he still placed 2nd, beating the film's other Star and the guy hyped as Arnold's ONLY competition - Ferrigno

haha yep, that's a lil gap in the movie. Suddenly in the end fight there stands a black guy on the stage you've never seen before (except the one sentence he says to Arnold before the show) and takes second. A logical mistake. ;D

see 25 years pumping iron doco...the filmakers were good guys....they wanted real competition....they wanted suspense and drama.....they tried to convince Arnold to make himself more endearing and sympathetic but he told them to fuck off......Serge's nude scene (if there ever was one) would have had 0% influence on these guys.....what about the nude photos of arnold floating around at the time?
the truth goes something like this ----> Serge had integrity and spoke his mind.....Joe and Ben Weider the homo's didnt like that one little bit.....you either played by their rules or they made it impossible for you...

In general you are correct. The excuse used by the IFBB was something to do with an x-Rated scene but yes, it was undoubtedly because they couldn't control Serge the way they did Arnold. Bottom line is that the IFBB not the film makers banned him for fear he would spoil the movie by whipping Arnold's butt.

YES X 100. SAME AS WITH SERGIO. If you couldn't do what the Weiders wanted you to do then you didn't get to reap the riches. Arnold did everything the Weiders told him to do. he had NO integrity whatsoever.
