Not sure about the arm, but she shot him a bunch of times. I remember an interview where he mentioned being gut shot by his wife and how much it scared him.
As far as murderers, they weren't pros, but a fitness competitor was murdered by her bodybuilder boyfriend when she broke up with him. I believe his name was Gordon Kimball. He killed himself also. It happened around the time of the McNiel case.
There was a member of the York Weightlifting team named John Terry that shot his wife in a moment of passion.
There was a man that became a famous powerlifter in prison for murder by the name of Greg "beetle" Lowe.
Not sure of his crime, but another famous prison powerlifter was Don Blue. He was famous for his high rep lifting style, and for surviving a brutal shanking to the gut and eye, only to set a deadlifting record later on.
