After Mr. Olympia 1996 Dorian wrote in Flex magazine how he was better than the previous year's Olympia coz while preparing for the 95 show he was training with a lot of injuries that prevented him from training with full intensity and was forced to use some alternative exercises instead of some hard basic ones but while preparing for the 96 show he had one year of hard training free from any injury.. So according to him and also to Flex's writer who wrote the review of Mr. O. 96 Dorian was improved than 95 but according to the pictures I believe they were wrong!!..

Good thread
In 1996 he was flat compared to 95, still had the conditioning though
-
best ever folks. Dorian looks simply incredible in these shots.

Dorian 95' > 96'
In 96' he was depleted because he couldn't take Lasix due to the diuretic test, so he dried out the old-fashioned way by cutting out Sodium and water intake, which resulted in his muscles looking flat. Still awesome, but he was better in 95'.

Looked fuller and at the same time harder in '95. His conditioning was still great in '96 though. First pic is for the Dorian haters: Dorian HAD NO ARMS ::)!
-
Dorian never used furosemide or "voodoo" tricks to drop water. He was always ready for the contest 2-3 weeks out and then manipulated his extracellular water levels via dietary methods.

Why didn't everyone else also do it this way as it seems to work better?

I believe it's easier for bodybuilders like Dorian who concentrate on only one contest every year but with others who enter many contests throughout the year it's hard to reach the final shape 3 weeks before each show..

That is what he claims, but it is bullshit. There is no reason why he wouldn't use diuretics if there is no testing for it. Elite athletes are always looking for any edge. No question Dorian could gewt super-dry without diuretics, but only at the cost of fullness.
