That's cheap, local grocers sell for $2.99 or more for Haas.  The smooth skin larger avocado's are cheaper but it's hard to tell if they're ripe.

i aint payin no dollar for no avacado when with that same dollar i could get a 20 minute phone call anywhere in the lower 48  :D
