u seriously drank a gallon of milk everyday?!
If so, how were the results? your training experience at the time?
Btw, bodybuilding is not really a sport..
-
My understanding is that all milk, even skim, contains lactose as a form of sugar.
That can't be good for results at least as far as staying lean is concerned. I used to drink a lot more milk but I'm shying away from it in the hopes of leaning out a bit.

i guess the results were ok, milk is a cheap source of protein
I love milk and I still drink about a quart a day
and yes by definition it is a sport 8)

it all comes down to calories, milk alone will not make you fat or prevent you from losing weight

Agreed.. just thought it was one more thing I could do. I still drink skim pretty regularly. I love the way all milk tastes.. very refreshing.

Exaclty. Casein is still one of the best proteins around. But I've eliminated all pasteurized dairy from my diet save for yogurt. Pasteurized dairy products are terrible for you. Thankfully I live in California and have access to raw milk, butter, and cream. It's the best food you can feed your body.

The main danger with raw milk is tuburculosis. Do they have a system in place to address this?
-
i prefer cottage cheese with fruit preferably, more filling than liquids. Higher protein to carb ratio than milk btw.
-
Skim milk? Bah! Doom disapproves.
-
I can't digest milk properly
-
I hear milk should be taken with cereal.
-
Organic pastures raw colostrum is good.

There hasn't been a cow infected with tuberculosis for a long time. Most cars are vaccinated against this in the U.S. But yes they do. All organic pasturs dairy products are test before they leave the farm.

Unfortunately the law in Aus doesn't allow raw cow's milk. Strangly, raw goat's milk isn't legislated against, but the overall result of legislation + the existing dairy industry is that any raw milk "movement" hasn't been able to effectively develop. The upshot is that you can get raw milk here but it's untested and unregulated. Good to hear they've gotten it together a bit more in the US (even if I can't enjoy the benefits personally) and they've addressed that issue.

Paul Anderson was a fuccking monster, 1100 pound squats, 600 pound benches and 450 pound overhead presses in the late 1950's.

Well a lot of states raw milk is illegal. Some states like Colorado have skirted the law by setting up what's called cowshare programs. Here in CA it is sold commercially in stores. Californians have been fighting the pasteurized dairy industry, the Calif. Dept. of Agriculture, and others for a long time. Right now there is a fight going on trying to keep it legal. Schwarzy just vetoed the bill so it's gotta be brought up again.
