Title: Christianity:
Post by: OzmO on October 09, 2008, 07:45:54 PM
The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood and telepathically tell him you accept hims as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

I like the other version better.

Jesus is a zombie? A zombie is a reanimated corpse, an undead creature.  The Gospels claim that Jesus is a resurrected man, not a reanimated corpse.  Christianity claims that Jesus is now very much alive, not undead.

Lol Ozmo. Don't forget the the pictorial of Jesus in almost every church is that of a white man with a beard. Subliminal torture at it's best.

Resurrect:
1 : to raise from the dead
2 : to bring to view, attention, or use again

Neither of these definitions require that the resurrected person be alive again; you made that part up.  It's hardly worth debating though since there have never been any peer reviewed studies on real resurrections.  Fairytales don't count.

Maybe I don't know the true definition of a zombie.  So what?  What I do know is that Jesus was dead, but now He is very much alive and well.

you have evidence to back that claim up?

Yes, I do.  I have discussed it with you an others on here many times.  But you find that my evidence is unacceptable and insufficient.  That's okay.

But more than evidence, I have faith, and I have my personal experiences and the experiences of other Christians around me.

Only if my faith rests on my evidence, but it does not.

Correct; you're faith does not rest on evidence but instead on delusion.

Me too.  They've been airing it a lot probably because of Halloween approaching.  The other day I was on the scene where they all rehearse pretending to be zombies and I kept rerunning the Tivo laughing till tears ;D  .......I'm laughing just now thinking about it!

I watched the remake of "DAY OF THE DEAD" and it was funny to me, just like most of the DEAD remakes. Nothing beats the original "Night of the Living Dead" though. Hey, do you think those zombies were Christians?
