do you prefer to train before you sleep or when you wake up. i can't seem to do much when i wake up especially after a 12hr shift
-
Do it before. Get it out of the way. Sometimes it's hard but it's better.
I don't work overnights but i work a lot and train all over the shop, 7:30am to 9pm once or twice.

I like to train after work the best.

Last,
i do 3 to 4 hr 12 hr shifts in a 7 day period. on top of school on tuesdays from 5 to 9pm. i some how manage to ge to the gym 4 days a week. at times i can lift in the morning depending how busy my night is, but it is difficult going to the gym on half a tank. im also married and my wife works days so time with her is important also. nights blow Last Mcgee. and training is hard on this shift. thank God it is 0640

Try and cut your workouts to 3 times a week instead of 4 but whn u do go make sure u cain it - the extra day of freedom can sometimes make the difference to improving your motivation when ure in the gym. Sounds like ure too busy to give it ur all 4 times a week - just my 2 cnts

I'm going to school and work 10pm- 7 am shift few times a week. I like training before, since after the shift my eyes are half shut and no way I could get a decent workout in. Also, my split went from 4 days a week to 3...just more convenient and you don't have to worry about getting in the gym as much.

much appreciated

you should train at work, on your breaks at McDonald's grab some boxes of frozen hamburger patties and press them overhead and put the Ronald McDonald statue on your back and squat it. :D
