Title: A pensive trip down memory lane (for the old school!)
Post by: Topskin69 on October 12, 2008, 06:15:16 PM

If I can kindly take a min out of everyones busy schedule of keeping up on the Venice g4p scene..

I know that anyone on this board that has been around for a while, has at one point in their life or another, shelled out some hard earned $$ for silly, B.S. supplements. Well I wanted to take this time to take a trip down memory lane, and see if anyone else could share some stories of some of the weird crap they would take/try in the name of bodybuilding glory.

I think a similar thread like this was started a couple of years ago, but I don't remember if it was this board or not...

Anyways... when I was 14 I thought that Weider's Mega Mass 4000 would make me HUGE! It had to right? If it worked for Dennis Newman, Achim Albret, and Nasser...then surely it would do wonders for me.... well needless to say all that stuff did was bloat me to no end!! I also tasted like paint thinner!! Maybe they have improved the taste since then....I am surprised this shit is still in stock...

It would be amusing to see if anybody else has some stories/things to share...

Another one that really left an impression on me was IcoPro. Vince McMahns supplement line.... I remember there used to be a commericial with Lex Luger doing cable crossovers....screaming "Youve got to want it!!"

Couldnt find that one...but here is another with Bret Heart..
