I went to the GNC in Atlanta in 2004...this was one of the coolest guys ever in life...he was at th pinnacle booth..dude we talked for like 2 hours. He convinced me not to get into bodybuilding as a profession...
-
Vince is the man! Great BBer and always good to the fans. A true BBer.
He was one of the first pro BBers I met as a kid and I can't say enough about how nice he is in person.

Vince should have the support and respect of the Supp companies. And be on NBR ( what you say Dave?)
The Original Beef
-
Fuck you you racist punk, you desperate bottom feeder, you G4P loser, are you still not financially secure that you have to BB at your age? I know some older guys like to BB and get in shape for the challenge and stuff but you are definitely not one of those types of guy's. I will not spend a single penny on your ignorant, racist ass thats for sure.
-
i was young...i loved bodybuilding.. i wasnt exposed to the darkside
If you remember, tell us what he told you about that?
-
Probably one of the most respected bodybuilders alive! Vince is a true inspiration to a lot of people and what he does at this age totally destroys the "getting old" concept. You're as old as your mind is. D
-
bullshit, are you stupid, one of the most respected, HELL NO
-
If you remember, tell us what he told you about that?
well he talked about the bigger is better. he had predicted that (this was 2004) bodybuilding was going in the wrong direction with the huge athletes. He said "that the pendulum has swung too far in the wrong direction" and it will regulate itself n a few years (boy was he right). He said "im not saying there will be another frank zane to win but it will come back down."
As far as me pursuing bbing.."man its not worth it. Do it as a hobby and if you make it you make it to the pros you make it..but even when you make it you havent made it (i swear to god this is what he said)" then he brought out a paper and a marker and said "ok these are the shows you make your money from the olympia and the arnold" then he wrote the prize money "ok thats ronnie and jay for 1 and 2..." all the other places and shows wouldnt cover your gear supps and food to prepare for it. Stay in school and make it a hobby and if you make it still keep it as a hobby"
Re: Gear..i just remember him saying some shit about "half the time you dont know what youre getting...shit someone can sell you some baby oil in a vial and call it gear"...someshit like that i really dont remember that...
his tone was basically "have fun and dont take this shit business too serious"

It sucks that it's to hard to make living in this sport
-
Looking forward to seeing his comeback at the Olympia. Classy guy and legend.
-
the ageless Vince Taylor, surely one of the very best. Arguably best arms and calves the sport has seen.
-
Easily on the level of 'most awesome' in the history of bodybuilding.
He's one of the most affable guys you'll ever meet and although I know he's busy with real world stuff, I hope that he'll continue giving his time towards being an ambassador for bodybuilding both here and abroad.

It's not hard to make a great living in the sport if you have blonde hair and blue eye's or if you are simply white (blessed by God).

I agree with you trev. M8 please post your pics and we can see if your ready for the 2009 Olympia yet. If you think Vince has synthol in him in that pic it just shows how little you know about anything bodybuilding. Get a life loser.

Cool words from a great in the sport however a web site that is not and Ecommerce site would take less then 5 days to have up and running and less then a G...Add Ecommerce and it would still probably be under 2 G's and less then two weeks to be up and running...I guess my question is why on earth doesn't he have a full blown web site with forum up and running like 5 years ago let alone soon from now?
-
Crazy
