Here are the 10 advantages of the wavelength cutting diet, which simply put, is the adonis diet taken to the extreme:
1 big meal a day + 1 big protein shake.
1.) You can eat whenever you want, with your friends, family, etc.
2.) You can eat out.
3.) You get a full stomach every day.
4.) You don't have to prepare any meals and thus save a lot of time.
5.) You eat things that taste good.
6.) You will probably not feel hungry most of the day.
7.) You will feel good because you are not denying yourself the delicious foods you like.
8.) You are not stared at as a masochistic weirdo.
9.) You don't have to carry gay tupperware around.
10.) You can piss off your fat friends by pretending you eat like that 3 times a day.
What are the advantages of your cutting diet?

I think I would look like an Ethiopian if I dieted like you dude, we all have different genetics and different metabolisms, I eat anywhere from 6-10 times a day depending on how long I am awake, I eat whenever I am hungry, I'm a big believer in meal timing, focusing on eating certain foods at certain times, and eating accordingly to my activity level. But if your system is giving you results then keep at it! You look pretty ripped up, but theres alot of people that are ripped and miserable (due to their diet), the goal should be ripped and happy lol..

Have you tried? I thought the same thing once.
Funny enough, this diet has proven to be better in every aspect for me.

I love food too much to try to eat like that, I probably get in 3 meals the same amount of cals that you get in a whole day, but once again we all have different genetics.
-
id just like to say that anyone can have ANY kind of genetics that they wish. its just a matter of doing something to get the genetics you wish. :)

I see. My point is to get a full stomach even on a cutting diet. Since I'm a pig, I need quite some food for that. ;D

you can have a full stomach all day long every day as many meals as you like.... if your getting full on green vegetables.
the problem is you want to get full on 'junk'

LOL you have to give your body a constant source of energy
that must suck eating once a day :o
just give up the brownies and eat a couple of meals hahaha
instead of a brownie you could have a cup of rice :)

About 13. But that's only a guess, I don't count calories.
Adonis principal is to get the right amount of calories, so how are you adhering to it?
-
Adonis principal is to get the right amount of calories, so how are you adhering to it?
Basic Principles:
- A minimum daily protein intake (approx. 0.5g/lb bodyweight),
- a deficiency of calories which leads to 1-3 lbs of weight loss per week,
- hard weight training at least 3 times a week,
- a variety of food good enough to ensure proper intake of all needed nutrients.
Factors of no, minimal, or even negative influence seem to be:
- the ratio of macro nutrients other than defined by the rules above,
- cardio training,
- abandonment of alcohol,
- intake of "supplements",
- proper spacing of meals during the day.
If those are his principles, from my experience, I agree. Anything else to add or modify, TA?
Those would be all the Adonis Principles!
Add 0.5-1 gram per lb of body weight.
and
Strive for the USRDA- (which you will likely meet and exceed anyways)
The point seems to be that the "right amount" of calories refers to a certain rate of weight change to meet a desired goal at a certain point in time. He did mention some restrictions on cals/lb in other threads, which are unlikely to be undershot with his methods, but that seems to be a side effect and a measure to check if you are doing it right rather than an essential principle. In any case, according to my guess, I'm exactly where I should be.
-

the problem is you want to get full on 'junk'
With "full stomach" I did not mean a stomach full of water, of course.
"Junk" is a term used by masochists.
As I said, I always make sure I also get fruit and veggies in. I love fruit and veggies.
-
LOL you have to give your body a constant source of energy
Explain what you mean by "have to", how you want to prove that it is true and whether you actually have proven it.
I think I know the answer to all three questions.
I have emperical "proof", at least for my body.
that must suck eating once a day :o
Why? Which of the 10 advantages is not true?
just give up the brownies and eat a couple of meals hahaha
instead of a brownie you could have a cup of rice :)
Why on earth would I want to do that?
Maybe I forgot to mention that I'm not a masochist.

so you get everything in that ONE meal?
ALL of your protein for the day also?
you know that sumo wrestlers eat only 1 meal a day?

Gironda (at least when he said he was in his best shape) and Nubret ate twice a day.
-
Eating once a day is the worst way to try to shed excess pounds. In fact, by eating only once, your body goes into starvation mode and begins to store more of the calories from your meal as fat. Our bodies adapt and will change in order to keep us alive.
It is healthier to eat 4 to 6 healthy mini-meals throughout the day. Your metabolism will actually increase because your body is no longer in “survival mode.” You also provide your body with nutrition and fuel to last the entire day.
;)

Nopes, see first post. It says one big meal and one big protein shake.

Yes, of course, I know the theories (there are several). I'm twice as old as you and have 10 times the training experience. Doesn't mean I know better, but you can be sure I already tried everything you mentioned.

then what is your excuse for not being a big mofo? ???

I'm close to 36yo and over 10 years of training is correct. Injuries have held me back last year but I have been bigger in the past. I judge methods by the difference in body composition between the starting and the end point of a certain cut or bulk. Granted, my current size is tiny, but relative to the starting point of this cut, I was able to preserve the most mass compared to previous cuts.

I don't, I only go by the rate of weight loss, which is about 1-2lb/week on this diet. I do make sure to get a certain amount of protein in (by adding a big protein shake, as stated in the first post). I also make sure that I get all the healthy stuff in like fruits, veggies, whole grain breads, etc.

well as long as you don't eat too much carbs and fats you can eat whatever junk you like cause all of it will be used up anyway...it's just that when eating junk your portion sizes are much smaller... For breakfast I'd rather have 3/4 cup rice than a tiny piece of cake.
-

That's also OK but I'd rather eat what I like. On a "clean" diet, I was hungry all the time.
-

The last pic I would guess around 8%, maybe 7% (that's what I was estimated). My arms and legs are still pretty undefined. I think most people have a misconception about what 5% looks like.

I have used this method previously (minus the protein shake, if you are going to have a second feeding better to make it something with a greater calories to saiety ratio than a protein shake) and it works great. The only thing is I did it after being on reduced calories for a long time so I was already used to waiting a long time in between meals and I suspect that my metabolism might have already slowed down a bit. For someone starting with a conventional diet, or worse yet a 6 meal a day BBer diet, your program will probably be impossible to adhere to. This is especially true if they need to focus throughout the day.

thats because you re an ectomorph. Any endomorph or mesomorph wouldnt be able to achieve shit with this "diet". (maybe an endo would lose weight, but most dont have the genetic dispositions or will to do so for a long time anyways..)
I know it first hand, im an ecto myself and attempted to aplly this to customers when i was a PT for one year. Worked great with ectos , but meso would burn muscle considering they build more muscle mass quicker than us ectos and endos would just feel like they are starving.
Because it works for you (and for me) doesnt mean it will work for people with completely different metabolisms.
depending on your somatotype, everyone has to find what works for him, and then be consistant with it over years. there s no secret/miracle formula here.
-

90% of your leaness and bodyparts shape is due to your genetics and has nothing to do with what you eat or how you train... thats why ectos who try to permanently bulk or overfeed to get "bigger" always quickly stop doing it after a while and didnt add any significant mass. Some go on creatine or steroids for the most insecure, but in the end you always get back to your normal maximal and natural status. You cannont reverse what you ve been genetically designed for unless you go the PED way, but once you go this route, it works only for a while, not in the long term.
Just do the best you can with what you have as long as it's healthy and make sure it doesnt become an obsessive behavior due to psychological issues ; a wide part of the newcommers arent aware of that fact and often waste a lot of time believing in things that are not true and make no sens. Insecurity is the root of 90% of behaviors.
point is, nature didnt make us all equal to each other, some start life with more, some with less, an it goes the same way when it comes to our bodies.
You cannot achieve the same thing someone with a different body and genetics achieved, period. Unless you go the steroid or hgh way, of course. But once these morons stop injecting crap, they get back to a normal , natural body which doesnt look any better than the body of a iron addict who's natural and is consistant with his training.

Yes it takes a few days to get used to it, but that's all. I came from a completely different type of diet and had no problems switching. I also need to focus throughout the day due to my job, it's no problem.

I don't believe in the over-simplified categorization of ecto/meso/endo. But one thing is for certain, I'm no ecto. I e.g. gain fat very easily. Every natural BB looks like an ecto in this condition. If you would see me 30-40lbs heavier (which I was), you would probably say I'm an endo. Generally, I have a very hard time losing fat without losing too much muscle.
But you are right in that I don't know how good my method works for most people. My guess is however that most natural BB are just too scared to even try.
BTW, you look great!

I agree with most of what you say, except that I'm certainly not an "ecto" and that none of my leanness has anything to do with genetics. This is the first time in my life I ever came close to such a condition.
-

no you were not lean, so you started the diet with 1 meal a day?
-
no you were not lean, so you started the diet with 1 meal a day?
Basically yes. As stated in the first post: one big meal and a big protein shake. At the beginning I ate a small evening snack, when I was very hungry in the evening. But since calories slowly went down (to keep the rate of weight loss), this stopped completely over the course of the diet. I should also add, as described in other threads, that on Sundays (or every other sunday, according to progress), I had no caloric restrictions whatsoever. This means, I usually ate three or four meals on Sunday, out of practical reasons (can't get everything in otherwise).
If one could get a full stomach twice a day while keeping the desired rate of weight loss, this is also OK of course (I would have preferred that, no doubt). In my case, with the added protein shake, I can only do it once a day.

Pretty simple idea bro.
Calories in and calories out !
Good job with sticking with it! Now u know how to stay lean the rest of your life!

exercise

shut the fuck up

impressive will power!
That's the funny thing, it was the easiest diet I have ever made!
I'm a lazy slacker, if something requires will power, I'm out. ;D
I was only a little hungry in the evening on this diet, on "clean" 6 meals a day diets, I was constantly hungry. Psychologically, it's also a lot easier to know that you can get a full belly everyday with foods you like.
