Nice, man.. Lunar SSSC was amazing. Didn't play it on the Saturn but played it on the PSX. Played half way through Eternal Blue but some fag stole my PSX back in the day along with my memory card. You should buy a SNES controller USB adapter, that way you can play ROMs with a REAL SNES controller. Makes the experience so much more enjoyable. 8)

I've got a Playstation Portable and it emulates PSX games perfectly. Just beat FFVII again (because I played through Crisis Core and had a craving), Chrono Cross and a couple other PSX games. You just have to find the ISO for the game (or rip it) and use a program to convert it for a format that the PSP plays natively... it's fucking great stuff. I only play older games... hardcore nostalgia. I don't play any next gen games because there are still so many old gems out there.

I hate WOW and games that consume trillions of hours of your time... I like traditional RPGs like the Final Fantasy series because of the engaging story lines... I hate having to grind through games and putting lots of time in, so I usually cheat or take short cuts.

I'd much rather do something outside so I don't spend tons of time playing them. But at work or when I'm doing cardio I play them hardcore. My gf got me a PSP for my birthday and I've never been more lean, because now I do cardio at least once a day, sometimes twice (just low intensity stuff, nothing hardcore). 8)

My friend plays WOW.

I checked how much time he spent, by typing
/played on his char/acc.

3200hours!!!!!

That is sick.
They(Blizzard) stole 3200hours of his life by making him addicted.

The mofo only talks about WOW and the expansion.

That's nothing unusual for WoW. I heared somewhere in Asia Blizzard added a blockade to the game which kicks you out automatically after 4 hours of being logged on and doesn't let you in for the next 2 hours or something like that. Because there were people starving in front of their computers, didn't go to work anymore and all stuff like that because they were so trapped in the game.... :D

World of Warcraft tracks exactly how long you have spent in the game playing it, you can type in /played to find out how long you have played for.

Ive seen screenshot evidence of some people who have spent over 365 days in the game.

That's an insane amount of time to spend in a game imo, but i guess if people who play this much have nothing better to do, why stop them? their clearly content to spend that much time in the game and not harming anyone else.

People in China have died playing the game, basically they stay up overnight and don't eat or drink because they are so absorbed by the game, they end up passing out because of exhaustion and don't recover, one woman has died and two guys i think lol.

maybe they would be better off spending all that time building up themselves instead of a fictional character that DOES NOT EXIST!

go to school, get an education, a career. Something for yourself...

Why does it bother you?
you don't have to play games, and the people who do play games are not effecting your life.

Why do people say games are a waste of time yet they think books are great and give you knowledge etc.? Some games, especially RPGs are exactly like books.

365 days is almost 9000 hours.
If he worked, and even if he got a silly low salary - 10$/hour.
He could have made almost 90.000$ instead of playing that game.

That whole game is based on building up a character, to me it seems like work...and when you don't play that game anymore all that work was for nothing. Other computer games are about having fun in the moment. just MHO

Everything is configurable... most people use the keyboard to move (WASD or whatever), turn with the mouse since it's more fluid, etc.

He actually wishes his girlfriend would dump him, so he can spend

Are you serious?

I couldn't allow myself to get wrapped up in something that time consuming.
When Civilization III came out, I once stayed up all night playing it nonstop. I started in the stone age,
and when I quit I had acquired nuclear weapons. To this day, I still feel disgusted with myself for doing that.
Now Blizzard is actually killing people, whilst stealing their money to bote! Lol. Maybe this is a secret weapon to off the Chinese.

Jesus Christ; if these people weren't spending so much time collecting iron ore and blacksmithing weapons in a video game,
maybe they could learn how to do it in real life.

Haha.

Also, I looked at the screenshots for WOW, and the graphics are downright ugly.
Looking on the back of the game box, it's hard to discern what is what.

Oblivion however, is amazing. If you don't have and XBOX360(only 200USD now btw), it's worth buying one just for this game:

Everything on that table can be used. Every book in the background has text.

Fuck yeah, man. We have the same taste in video games lol... I'm definitely a nerd at heart still. Chrono Cross is a GREAT game. It's much more confusing that Chrono Trigger, but now that you're older you can probably understand and appreciate it a lot more. Whenever I replay games from my childhood I'm like "...ohhhhhhh............. .................." and have sudden epiphanies because I was much too retarded to appreciate things as a child.

Chrono Cross is a good game. Great fighting system and really engaging story line (to say the least). You need to be able to invest time in it so if you're in the Northern hemisphere then you can probably kill a lot of time this winter playing it. You won't have any regrets.

I also remember playing Shenmue on the Dreamcast as well LMAO!!! I still have my DC and Shenmue. I almost thought about busting it out until I got my PSP. I wish the DC got more RPGs though. It was a great system. Sonic Adventure, aside from the gay soundtrack and painful loading times, was a beautiful game. And a launch title at that! Grandia II was an amazing game as well. Plays way better on the DC than the PS2 port also. It's a very linear game, which isn't a problem for me because I don't replay too many RPGs unless they're absolutely epic.

Ahh man... I'm having some crazy video game nostalgia right now. Earthbound is another wicked game I remember. And the Shining Force series lol... I remember talking about it during my senior year of high school and a friend said he used to play it too. We spent the rest of the semester in computer science just playing the series on emulators we downloaded! :D
