Can you list any issues you had from any particular AAS and if you were able to resolve it (by changing food, eating, or time of taking, stopping it, taking letro, etc)? I was reading a thread were one guy said Test gave him anxiety, while others complained that dbol gave them headaches or something else. I guess it could help others know what to look out for and maybe help them choose one AAS over another based on the history of issues members have reported on a given AAS. I am not asking for this because I'm against AAS, but more or less just as a reference. I'd like this to eventually become a sticky, but that depends on the interest/number of responses.

This idea that androgens give people anxiety is an absolute farce. Its quite the opposite androgens DECREASE anxiety.
What I have experienced:
Dianabol - headache, bloat, stomach ache when not taken with food, lethargy
Testosterone - lots of body hair growth, acne on back, red face, more aggressive thoughts than usual, a little growth and swelling in my existing gynecomastia, testicular atrophy, water retention
Clomid - blurred vision at times
Overall, I have found the side effects to be very manageable.

I think people correlate high blood pressure with anxiety. I feel very mellow on cycle. The only medical challenges I don't like are the hit to the lipid profile, liver and kidneys and yeah... being shut down also sucks but that comes to pass.
Asymptomatic sides being left out, I can't stand acne going into PCT. Also, my liver/kidneys get sore. I think I had an ulcer in my stomach as well but it went away. I don't do orals anymore and when I do, it's very minimal. It ruins my liver even when it's completely normal.
-
*Thinning hair on my head, more body hair
*Lethargic and bloated feeling from dbol
*High blood pressure if I run tren to long...at least that's what it seems it was
*Acne on my back when I take clomid...but it's not bad and goes away as soon as I stop it
*Insomnia: I'm a bad sleeper anyway, but drugs like tren and anadrol add to it
*Testicles shrink some while on, but honestly not that much...what you hear is over exaggerated and they fill right back out.
*Elevated liver enzymes but not as bad as it sounds. Above normal, yes, but still below someone who takes Tylenol every day or a regular drinker. The only time it got really out of hand was when I used to use pro hormones in my early 20's, specifically, 1-AD, 4-AD and M-1T
*Sex drive of a 16 year old boy...you decide if this is good or bad. Obviously it's good if you enjoy sex, but sometimes it's hard to be satisfied. No, I'm not complaining. But if you're someone who can't control themselves then IMO, this would be bad.

Deca dick - had it once, fixed with HCG and Cabaser, was probably the worst side effect I've had.
High BP on drol/dbol cycle - dropped the dbol, fixed BP issues
Night Sweats - I get this just running test sometimes, it's the worst on Tren cycles, GF hates it.
Increased Hair Growth - this is from the GH, I have to get my hair cut twice as often, more hair on my ass now too :(

Funny, with the extra hair growth, my ass hair has not increased at all...still baby smooth, lol!

Yea, I used to just have peach fuz there, but now it's gettin kinda thick. I don't have a hairy back or anything either, but my legs are pretty thick as well, thicker now for sure.

My legs and arms are pretty much the same as they've always been...pretty normal in the hair department...not too thick not too thin. Really, I could I don't care too much about the arm and leg hair...don't want it to look like a brilo pad and as long as it doesn't I'm OK. Now it's the back hair and extra thick chest hair that I hate.
Before I started using any AAS I had zero back hair and only a little chest hair. Course I know the hair would have eventually come, the AAS just sped up the process...my dad didn't have a hair on his back till he was in his 40's and very little chest hair till then too. Now I have full chest hair from the top of my chest all the way down my stomach and full back hair too...have had for the last several years. I keep the back hair gone though, the chest just depends on the mood...my girl could care less and honestly she wouldn't care if I kept the back hair but I know she'd rather me not have it and I feel the same way.
I had started getting laser treatments on my back since my sister worked at a skin/rejuvenation clinic. It takes 4-6 treatments to make it permanent and I never got it finished before she changed jobs...can't afford to pay for it right now, so I just wax it. have to get it waxed every about 8-10wks or so, and after a few times it's not that bad...only cost me $25 and free if I can get the sister to do it when she has time.

agreed w/ everyone who said body hair growth
-
Hair creeping north of the belly button border. Made the mistake of shaving it once. Ingrown hair/zit city.
-
Insomnia, High BP, irritablility, red face/neck. Last time I was on I had terrible acid reflux/indigestion.
-
acne on chest and back. a few hairs on my chest now. going through pct right now and my face has blown up with zits. pissed that my cycle was only 8 weeks and not 12, now sad that i am no longer ON :-[

increased muscle growth. increased strength. increased appetite. lower bodyfat. higher sex drive. increased size of erections. increased aggression. increased confidence.

So those are all undesireable side effects?

clothes stop fitting you then you can't find any because your waist stays the same, using the last plate on the weight stack, having to eat all the time, not feeling satisfied sexually

Weird sex drive w/o hcg. Decreased physical drive, but increased interest. I don't understand how everyone claims T shots boost drive thru the roof. That wasn't my experience.

It should boost your drive but not to the extent you here some guys talk about...a lot of exaggeration when it comes to this sort of thing IMO. Same as with every claim you here about AAS.

There are some guys who have had their libido drop through the floor while on Test. It can definitely effect people differently. I have a pretty high sex drive even while off and test really just makes me more aggressive in bed, and does increase libido slightly, but not as much as a lot of guys report.

What would cause this, do you know?

That has happened to me towards the end of a cycle. I do not know the physiology involved behind it.

I know if I'm dieting hard and have been for a long time and am in low single digit BF my desire can bottom out even on test, but otherwise if this happens to a guy on test IMO there has got to be some other factor then just the test. At least I would think so...there has to be a reason for this.
-
I think a lot of my drive comes from physical need, ie. when my balls are filling up. (sorry to be so graphic ;D), and not so much from psychological drive (although I noted an increase in the appeal of t&a, sexual agressiveness, etc, when on) No LH, no FSH, and no endo test being produced means no sperm production, which leads to decreased physical need. I'm pretty sure that's a big factor for me since when I add hcg... look out ladies.
Other possible factors would be too much E, too little E (as guys on letro report), or possibly elevated prolactin. Stress and exercise can raise prolactin (and in someone with a lot of aromatized E it could be an even greater problem even w/o deca or tren), and I notice a drop in sex drive when I train too hard whether on or off. I'm considering getting ahold of some parkinson's meds just to see what effect it'll have.
I'm still good to go once a day if I don't overtrain, but it'd be nice to get back to how I was back in my 20s. Yes - to the paranoid among you - I noticed a decrease in drive before I ever took a shot. In fact, it was rock bottom T levels that led me to HRT & cycling.
-

I wonder if it's the prolactin. Mine goes sky high even on test alone. My libido dropped slightly near the end of my first cycle but I had HCG and got back into the game pretty quickly. At the beginning of the cycle though, I had almost made the decision to stop completely. My erections were so hard I almost thought my dick was going to snap off. There were a few times where I got so hard I was actually very scared.
-
i dont feel as if test has any effect on my libido, i think it stays about the same for me. now if i add letro to the mix i have zero libido.
-
Let's see I've killed fifteen people while "on" I guess that would be bad eh? ;D
Anyway, negative sides from AAS:
Dbol - bloats me up a lot, causes hair to thin while taking it.
Clomid - Messes with my vision a little & gives me fucked up dreams.
A little acne during PCT.
Noticed an increase in bodyhair over the years.
Elevated blood pressure but then again mine has always run high so probably not the fault of AAS.
-

did your hair thicken back up when you stopped taking it?

I have red face on Test and acne.
On dbol I get puffy nips, and my hair thinned out..but it's been fine since I dropped it

You can claim that it is a "farce", however it was definitely the case with me. I did not have anxiety problems before I took testosterone. Then when I went on it, I had extreme anxiety. When I came off, it went away. Everyone responds to drugs differently. These hormones can impact your mood, some people get depressed, others get aggressive, some feel really happy, I got very anxious. To deny that steroids have a psychological impact is just silly. They clearly do.

One of the most common misconceptions regarding the side effects of anabolic steroids is known as ‘roid rage’. There seems to be little or no evidence such a condition actually exists. Most studies done on "angry behavior" and anabolic steroid use show no psychological effect, implying that either "roid rage" doesn't exist or that anabolic steroids' effects on aggression are too small to be measured. Many scientists and medical professionals conclude anabolic steroids have no real effect on increased aggressive behavior

Bro, I don't want to get into a big argument over it, we obviously will just disagree. But there is no way you can increase the amount of a hormone like testosterone in your body by ten times or twenty times its natural amount and not have some psychological impact.
I have many friends who have juiced, and the ones who went the heaviest and did it the longest most definitely had more aggressive personalities. Long term use can lead to some paranoia. Not everyone turns into an asshole, and I have no problem with my temper when I take gear, but I am pretty mild mannered. But there just aren't that many studies that have been done to prove it one way or the other.

State your opinion all you want...even if we disagree I am someone who rarely gets his panties in a wad.
Anyway, there are actually tons and tons of studies on this very thing. One of the biggest lies we here concerning AAS is that there haven't been any conclusive reputable studies. The New England Journal of Medicine alone has study after study regarding AAS use, not just HRT dose big boy dose too. And the NEJM is probably one of the most respected medical journals in the U.S. if not the most respected. If you go to their website you can find a few things but to get the good stuff you have to register and pay for it.

Im no expert but I kind of agree that changing ones hormone level well beyond the natural range must have some impact, but that doesnt mean it leads to rage. Hormones do effect our mood, our sex drive, and whole slew of other things. Now whether or not that will lead to psychological issues I have no clue. There was a Yale study, though, that said too much Test can kill brain cells but who knows what levels they demeed as destructive. I wonder where it was published, I'd like to read it. No this doesnt make me against AAS, Im just curious ;)

lol funny that you mention it... my gf is such a nympho that it's unreal. Even on test, proviron, tren and playing around with Viagra or Cialis from time to time (friend gave me a couple dozen of each, figured why not?) she's still wanting more lol... when I'm sleeping she'll reach down my pant and play with my dank. I'm far from a minute man and she's very appreciative, but she ALWAYS wants it.
It all happened when she went on birth control. She's been off for a month and I thought her sex drive would die down but it hasn't... I'm getting a little scared. My man muscles can hardly take anymore sex. I never thought I'd be the one to tell the girl that I'm too tired or that I have a headache lmao (I always man up and put out though - tee hee) ;D

If she always wants sex, perhaps you'd better diversify and try anal sex and/or deepthroat techniques.
I guarantee, you give her some long endurance sessions of anal sex and she'll think twice before she tries to initiate sex. ;)
In the same vein, most women can only deepthroat for about fifteen to thirty minutes before they're ready to move on to something else.
Give her a nice pounding in the right place and she'll calm down...... ;D

On another note never-ever let your wife wax your back. :-\
