get a haircut
change your bed linens, especially pillowcases, at least twice a week
try a stronger soap
go to a tanning bed (seriously this one probably works best)
as a last resort use accutane but only use half a dose, shit is very strong
As you may know, about 3 weeks ago I stopped spending a ton of time arguing politics, and started focusing upon working out. I've been training about an hour each day, 5 days per week. I've also been doing cardio 4 times per week. My protein has increased to about 300 to 350 grams.Roaccutane-best medicine ever,i had very bad case of acne, nothing helped until i started using that.
I'm getting a lot of acne suddenly.
I had bad acne as a kid, when I was a wrestler and worked out 4-6 days per week. I stopped working out at 19 or 20, and was fine for a long time. Zero pimples for about a decade. Suddenly, I'm working out every day consistently, and it's coming back just like it did when I was 16.
What can I do to solve this? mostly back and shoulders, but some on face and scalp as well. I thought it might have been an allergic reaction to something, but it came like clockwork with the nonstop working out (i used to train 3 days per week and no cardio). I shower immediately after working out, and in the morning and night. It doesn't seem like a cleanliness thing - skin just keeps producing oil all of a sudden. Help!
Just curious 240, why are you eating anywhere NEAR that much protein? You are natural I assume?
Overload swears by Benadryl 25mg/day, and someone posted a related study.
last night I did pop 2 benadryl (50 mg total)
hey, that's funny... last night I did pop 2 benadryl (50 mg total) and the big ass zit on my face went down about 50% overnight. being the little bitch that I am, panicking over everything, I thought maybe I was having an allergic reaction to something.
i've actually heard this really works. i'm also guessing that your body's just responding to a natural increase in testosterone, and it'll go away fairly soon.

One other benefit of the lotion for 240 is........
It will keep the gun powder from your Glock from getting into your pores ;D
where is the acne? ( back/face?) and how much? a lot/ a little?

I'm trying to grow. About 50 grams per meal - a big pile of meat. Whey meals are two scoops - so maybe that's only 42 grams on those meals.how many calories are you getting in your diet bro? cuz 350 grams is 3 times what I get in protein in a day :o

First cycle, Rob? For someone with so much time invested in the sport of bodybuilding, I would expect you to have at least done some research.
in all seriousness I don't see ANY benefit from consuming over 150 grams for ANYBODYthe body uses protein for more than just to build muscle. not only that, but your body has a naturally occuring process of protein breakdown/protein synthesis. sedentary individuals should consume about 1.5-2 g per kg of lean bodyweight per day just to maintain optimal health.
you're acne is probably from the over consumption of protein
your body can't handle that much
cut your protein to 100 grams and see what happens
that's all you need

yeah, i know some people who dont eat any fruits or vegetables either and they are still living. ;)I don't eat fruits and vegetables........
naturally occuring process of protein breakdown. look it up.I don't need to "look it up" ::)
I don't eat fruits and vegetables........
who does?
seriously you think everybody gets an apple a day everyday?
my diet consists of icecream, burgers, lots of chocolate, chocolate milk, cookies and pizza....maybe 2 cans of tuna?
eating "clean" is for people who enjoy torturing themselves
I'll give you till 35 before you have a bypass with a diet like that.oh yeah with my single digit bodyfat levels
oh yeah with my single digit bodyfat levels
and cholesterol 30 points below "acceptable"
I should be worried
not all these obese members of getbig ::)
who are fat with high cholesterol and all they eat is chicken and rice
Doesn't matter what you are now. You'll get older and all that shit food going into you body will rear it's ugly head down the road. Just because you work out and exercise doesn't negate a shitty diet. You put bad fuel in and you're going to get a congested engine, it's a fact.50 years from now I'll still have single digit bodyfat levels
50 years from now I'll still have single digit bodyfat levels
this isn't my "job" like shawn ray...this is my life style
there is no "good food" or "bad food"
do you think your body knows the difference between fat from salmon and fat from a cheeseburger?
you think it knows the difference between carbs from rice or pizza?
nope, it just burns it all up
trust me, I know more than 99% of people on here
except for steroids...I don't know jack shit about steroid usage or drugs in bodybuilding
which is not a bad thing, I'd like to still be alive and grow old, keep my balls, have kids, not screw up my liver, my heart, kidneys, you know all that good stuff ::)
Sure buddy, I'm not trying to be dick, just trying to look out. Live your life and be happy, whatever floats your boatI appreciate your concern
I appreciate your concern
however we should all be worried about Johnny Falcon and keep him in our prayers :-\
Just curious 240, why are you eating anywhere NEAR that much protein? You are natural I assume? Under the BEST possible circumstances, you can maybe gain 3-5 lbs of 100% pure muscle in a year, and at least give your body a break. Excess "anything" (fat, protein, carbs) will result in fat gain. Your body doesnt just 'get rid' of the extra calories...::) ::) ::)
I used to do that also, eat about 300g's a day. How is your carb intake? Id recommend a much higher ratio of carbs and fats, if not for anything else but energy.
There is a great article ill try to find for you, it explains "why" excess protein is not worth it.

this is really good advice, and I appreciate it greatly.if you pop zits, youll get more if you do even if you're clean about it.
This is my 2nd day on benadryl.
yesterday I fried the pimple with alcohol and Persa-Gel, and it looked like shit.
Today I spent 90 minutes in the sun, used a little neosporin to fix the cut skin (I tried to pop it, but it is still below the skin). It's about 1/3 of the size it was 2 days ago, and about to break the skin so I can finally break this bitch.
I'm going to keep on the benadryl, and really start getting more sun. Thanks a ton.

naturalwonder83I can clearly see gyno in that pic, I'm sure I won't be the only one to point it out.
that photo was not gyno in that picture I was 14% bodyfat
my body stores a little fat around my pecs, which are gone once I get lower in bodyfat
not gyno, and I'm sure I'm not the only guy who stores some fat on his chest
in no other photos can you see it
it is only in that particular angle
here is a photo see...no gyno
thanks other wise though :)
I wonder if applying very hot water/towel to the pimple would replicate the heating effect of the Zeno?
Just to move away from the topic of AXA’s nipples…in people with normal skin who dont regularly get accne, the OTC soaps that contain benzyl and salicylic acid work good. for people who have sensitive skin and regularly get acne, those OTC meds will almost always make the acne worse by irritating the sensitive. skin. im a person who normally gets acne, very sensitive skin, and for me the OTC are all horibble. Cetaphil daily cleanser is completely irritant free and very very healthy for your pores. you literally can not over do it with cetaphil..(i wash my face three times a day with the stuff and my skin is the most sensitive i think ive ever seen..). before my face was always either really dry with pimples, or really red and oily with pimples, depending on what i was using OTC. now with cetaphil my face has a much nicer tone, never gets red, never gets dry, and very very rarely do i get any pimples.
Acne is a result of bacteria.
Regular soaps will clean dirt from the skin, but you need something medicated to fight the bacteria.
NaturalWonder mentioned Benzoyl Peroxide soaps.
Salicylic Acid is the other big OTC acne fighting cleanser.
Both work for me, although I much prefer the BP in terms of effectiveness.
Stiefel Labs makes the PanOxyl Bar – a body acne bar soap with 10% BP concentration. Good stuff.
ProActiv and its “generic cousin,” AcneFree, both are liquid face cleansers containing a lower, but still effective dose of BP. I’d rate their results about equal.
You can also purchase complimentary products from both companies including a leave-on lotion that dries clear.
For bedtime, you can use a much stronger lotion made by store brands like American Fare, but most dry white and chalky.
Start out small with the above products, as the peroxide will dry out your skin. You can always increase amounts and frequency.
im glad to hear your finally eating like a man and taking this seriously ! give it some time, you will not be dissapointed with your decision to eat more protein.Garbage!! Need to get a Quality cleanser, toner, exfoliator and mask to do twice a week, id suggest Kiehls.
for your acne, try some benadryl at night. 25mg diphenhydramine. this came from Overload, and it works really well. also, try to find saome 'cetaphil' cleanser. its amazing stuff and really helps the pores but doesnt irritate them either. most of the over the coutner stuff is counter productive and irritates yoru skin more than ithelps.
Garbage!! Need to get a Quality cleanser, toner, exfoliator and mask to do twice a week, id suggest Kiels.haha ok mr.proactive , get that recommendation straight out of your little pamphlet they send you with your three piece system ? ;D
haha ok mr.proactive , get that recommendation straight out of your little pamphlet they send you with your three piece system ? ;DA derm recommended that garbage(Cetaphil) to me to. Did nothing. Everyone has different skin and I respond well to the Kiehls brand.
honestly ive been to a dozen facialists and three different dermotoligists, tried everythin underthe sun and done two runs of accutane. cetaphil daily cleanser is what ive came to aafter all that, and it works amazingly well for me. and its what is recommended by dermatoligists for keeping healthy pores.

yes, it does, very well !Walmart=Americas White Trash discount store, good to see you shop there. Is that where you stock up on your anal lube for your romantic encounters getting dick in your ass.
in fact im using test , and was using dbol with it, and even using those AAS (which normally make you produce oil like a motha fucka) my skin was never too oily or too dry. for me personally, the product is a miracle. i think i bought mine at wal mart..its been about two months and im still using the same bottle.

A warm (not scalding hot) compress will draw it to the surface, but seriously.... try to refrain from "popping" it. Let it come to the surface and it will likely break open on it's own depending on what type of pimple it is.

bad advice i did this and left a red/pink burn scar on my face
Are we talking about little pimples from blocked pores, or big ass inflamed ones?
I don't get the big ass inflamed acne, but to prevent little pimples from blocked pores I like hot baths with several drops of lavender oil, and lightly exfoliating with a microdermabrasion cloth. That sounded so gay hahaha. But its good.
That sounded REALLY gay!nope...he has a moustache 8)
But at least you don't have pimples.
