Cool dude. :)

Remember he used to promote that Vanadyl Sulfate from SportPharma ::)

man Dave is the coolest. I trained with him in Calgary Alberta. Then went down to California, trained at Golds gym Venice with him., drove down to San Diego and got to stay at his place with him and his wife at the time Sue Price for a week. Treated me like gold, guy was genuinely my idol when I took bodybuilding seriously. Hence the origin of the name "avesher" ----think about it.

Ah, yes that was it. Was it the same column where he said he drank a pot of coffee and 8-10 (IIRC) Dymetadrine ephedrines before workouts?
-
saw him training at gold's gym redondo beach a few years back. still looking good, but old. he must be about 50
-
Dave would routinely rep with 5 plates on the full squat through the late 80's/ early 90's until he left Calgary. not saying he stopped doing it, just not around here, he moved to California. his squat was mechanically perfect, so even his hard reps appeared easy to him.
