Title: Palin may release her medical records
Post by: Pete Dimano on October 22, 2008, 08:58:52 PM
GREEN, Ohio - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, indicated Wednesday that she would release her medical records, which she said would show that she had never been seriously ill.

Palin was the only member of the Democratic or Republican presidential tickets who had not discussed her health or allowed her medical records to become public. The Republican campaign’s silence on her medical history became an issue this week when The New York Times raised questions about the capacity of the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, to finish out a full term as a 72-year-old survivor of cancer.

~snip~

Asked specifically if she would release her medical records, she replied, “The medical records — so be it.

“If that will allow some curiosity seekers, perhaps, to have, oh one more thing that they can either check the box off that they can find something to criticize, perhaps, or find something to rest them assured over, fine,” she said.

“I’m healthy, I’m happy, I’ve had five kids — that’s going to be in the medical records,” she added. “Never been seriously ill or hurt — you’ll see that in the medical records if they’re released.”

Her psychiatric results from preliminary employment application for Governorship of Alaska were released in late 2007, and contained the following excerpts:

She'd probably be stupid enough to release medical records showing her as having had a full D&C while supposedly pregnant with her last child. Then her follwers could say "See, ...we told you she was full of the holy spirit"  ;D

I don't think they should have to reveal any records, just a certifying doctor who clears them or not...just like any other position which requires a pre-employment medical exam.  Of course the doctors need to examine presidential candidates with executive physicals, but we should not be privy to all the details.

No.

One page = got stuff to hide (as usual). You do know that just basic blood tests and history of ilness and that sorts will be at least 2-3 pages for a man in perfect health.

1500 pages = never hides and tell it like it is.

Kind of like all of Hussein connections....he try to downplay everything that people will not like.

What drugs did Hussein admitted to take? Maybe he went to some clinic to cut the habit and he try to hide it....

McCain released 1500 pages?  Gave Reporters a time limit to examine them, and didn't allow them to copy or release any of them.

This is what Obama did, right?  No one had a problem with it, I don't think.

He didn't "release" shit.

he let the doctors have an hour to scan 1500 pages of documents, and they coudln't photograph a thing.

Funny how this gets more posts than Obama belonging to a socialist group. Pathetic.

Believe me, there is a big difference between a full medical disclosure and a "doctors note".

Obama has been really slimy about all this campaign crap. He is being held at a different standard than the rest.

I would say this campaign is getting comical about how the media portrays the enlightened one, but that would be a disservice to our country. I feel a heartfelt sorrow for our country if Obama gets elected.

I am someone that served and loves my country and to see this happen is a travesty.

I totally agree. Double standard at it's finest.
