I tried tkaing a yellow vivarin pill (200 g of caffeine) and it was the most intense workout ever.
how many of you take caffeine when you lift?

I usually like to take a 25mg Ephedrine pill and a 12 oz Red Bull but I have stacked the Vivarin with the Ephedrine also.
But yes, you are correct, solid workout for sure.

I'm a caffeine addict. I have to measure it out and ween myself off of it every couple weeks. After I come off, then back on it, I have amazing workouts. If you don't work out caffeinated already then start with very low dosing. A small can of red bull (sugar free?) at most or roughly 100mg.

same here...on weight days light cardio..etc I take 25mg of ephed and a shot of coffee. Able to get in there and bust that sh*t out and get the hell outta there with a damn good lift and sweat.
when I do any fight training..etc I don't touch that sh*t at all.

Yeah I usually go for the Sugar Free Red Bull. I have pretty much weened myself off calories from drinks, besides a glass of Simply Grapefruit Juice in the morning. I don't even miss Dr. Pepper anymore and I used to love Dr. Pepper.

I haven't had a soda since I was 16. Never liked them, unless they are with ice cream.

i go through 10-12 cups of coffee a day, so no ;D

matters how i feel.
If i wake up groggy and weak, then yea ill drink about 2 cups of coffee pre workout or pop some jet fuel :)
If i wake up with good energy then no, no coffee.
I dont think stimulants like coffee are all that great for u in the long run if done in excess ( stresses out the adrenal system ), but if there needed, then by all means take em.

not really reflex and concentration......
it threw me off like I have no conditioning (up high then crashed and burned effect) couldn't really control the workout put and gauge my stamina properly...basically energy level was up too high when I didn't need it to be up that damn high and I felt burnt out alot faster....thus making me feel like my stamina and conditioning was shot..no longevity.
hydration levels were off big time also I felt. normally when I train boxing I'll go for 45 minutes with trainers little to no rest in between rds and can go without water and keep stamina,not feel too tired.etc and recover..etc..ephed wiped that out completely and I was out on my feet pushing way too hard..couldn't fight in spirts, couldn't do alot of things that I normally do and I was fu*king thirsty as hell. LOL
I only needed to try it once to learn. ;) I was a fool for even trying that sh*t.

yeah I have about 500mgs three times a month before a workout. Other than that I don't intake any caffeine at all.
Makes for awesome workouts

I get up at 4am and start work by 5:30am most days, so by the time I start my 12pm workout I've had close to half-a-dozen 8oz coffees or Monsters, or any combination thereof. Last one maybe an hour before my workout. I've been doing that for a couple months, just so I don't fall asleep finishing my last couple clients beforehand.

a moderate amount of caffeine is actually quite healthy and has a whole host of benefits. i always take a little bit before my workouts, even if its only about 50mg.

Me too, plus some coke(1gram) to gimme confidence for the big weights, and speed for endurance.

Weed is the only thing that gives me energy nowadays, maybe cause the kush is sooo sticky ...

Ween yourself off the stuff until you aren't taking ANY or less than 100mg a day for a week or two then go back to your normal levels and tell me you don't feel it.
