It's a repost but maybe some haven't seen...please add more tips you of which you may be aware.
TIPS ON HOW WOMEN CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES

Because of recent abductions, in daylight hours,refresh yourself of these things to do in an emergency situation…
This is for you, and for you to share with your wife, your children, everyone you know. After reading these 9 crucial tips , forward them to someone you care about. It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.
1. Tip from Tae K won Do:
The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!
2. Learned this from a tourist guide in New Orleans:
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you….chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse.
THEN RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you, but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4.Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS!) The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you whe re to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.
And, if someone is in the car with a gun to your head DO NOT DRIVE OFF, repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Air B ag will save you. If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it!
As soon as the car crashes bail out and run. It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.
5 A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
A.) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat
B .) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door . Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7.If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN, Preferably….in a zig-zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played,on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane,
or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point: Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The police told her “Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.” The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window,
and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, “We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.” He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby’s cry recorded
and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby’s cries outside their doors when they’re home alone at night.
Please pass this on and DO NOT open the door for a crying baby —-This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because the Crying baby theory was mentioned on
America ’s Most Wanted this past Saturday when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana.

However, my best advice would be for a woman - once she realizes a man intends to do something terrible - is to suddenly act flirty and turned on (so the guy thinks he has some kinda freak on his hand and gets turned on/lets guard down...)

Where's the tip about getting a gun license, a gun, and learning how to use it? The only thing that makes a 120 lb women the equal of a 220lb nut, is a gun. Nothing else. Without it, this women, like many others, would be dead:

I didn't ask in detail but I suppose if you hit hard and fast enough at the top of the sac you might rip it right off :o
TKD huh..If i were a woman I would take a different martial art for self defense (IMHO, it's not as effective as other arts). I believe in carrying a gun. Best way to stop a rapist is to kill him or at least shoot his man bits off.

Too bad the poor women didn't have her trusty 12g with her the first time, but beyond reporting the crime and doing their best to catch the BG, the police can do little else. They didn't catch him before he decided to come back for a second rnd. Bad move...

It says he's an avid hunter and probably a gun owner. As the vast majority of law abiding gun owners are involved in far fewer crime than the rest if the population, you should feel extra safe if you see a Gun's & Ammo magazine on the coffee table.

Nope, you are, you don't deal with Restraining orders on a daily basis.
No, what that mean is he is highly likely a STALKER. And you said crime, like as in reported crime in which charges are filed and gone to court. You didn't say unreported crimes or restraining orders being filed or harassing or stalking, which in some Counties and States do not go to court.

There are certain markers that I have noticed for abusers. Lack of self esteem, lack of communication, and a feeling "fundamentalism"---remember when Obama made that comment about "clinging to religion and guns", well many of those men who do that, have abusive tendencies. Tell me have you seen a women on a Nightly basis with black eyes, or scared out of their wits because their controlling man grabbed the Winchester and pointeed at her face. I see women nightly, so get off your guns and ammo soapbox.
And by the way, I'm not anti-gun. I lived around them for most of life and i am 60 mins from NRA headquarters. I believe women should carry guns if they need to.

What I'm saying if you paid attention, is for example if a a person read a lot of the Japanese adult Amine magazines, they have some serious issues, because if you look at them, htey have some sick themes running thru them.
A person can yes be an enthusiast of guns, and have magazines, just as I am a enthusiast of cars and have car magazines, but a person's reading material can affect or show a person's thinking...A collection of all Import car mags shows the person is biased towards Japanese or Euro cars. A person who has mags of women bound and gagged, and mock rape, and has no girl friend, more than likely has issues with women.

He's a tip for you how about you try issuing a Protective or Peace order to a woman who has been shot, beaten up, or suffered years of abuse. You try listening to what they they tell you.

Me, anonymous, No, my last name is Parker. People know I live in MD and work for the Judiciary. AND convictions, dude I have been on here for long time and done my share arguments. And I stand by what I said. Yo telling me to write in and people will call me a idiot---do you think I care about some Yahoo calling me a idiot, vs. the Chief Judge firing me because I went by what some guy on the internet said, and that I should not take certain things iinto consideration-especially if the victim told me, and put that in writing.

Yes, you are right, i did say that, i just scrolled up. Most of what i write is during the Midnight shift that i work, when said people come in and file charges or orders. i have to go by what they write. Not only that i have to shift thru the BS that many police officers give these people and me.
And my last two response including this one is right after my shift.
