It can't be a remake, they showed Jason. In the first one his mom was the killer.

Unbelievably boring trailer.

Now, this was a pretty good trailer...too bad the movie absolutely sucked:

Agree with you there.  It seems that 50% of new movies nowadays are either remakes of older ones (with ramped-up special effects) or movies about comic book franchises.

Hey Tre why did The Strangers suck?  The trailer like you said made it sound pretty kick ass.  I was going to rent it.  Guess I won't now.

too much screaming in the trailer = annoying.

plus jason moves too fast at the end, he aint suppose to move like usain bolt

Go rent it.  I thought it was really good, suspenseful as hell...at least in the theater, not sure how well it would translate to watching it in your living room.

Probably not bad as a rental, but the theater experience wasn't worth the 10 bucks.  I was looking for true terror and there was only one quality 'gotcha' moment. 

The endings never make sense, but this one *really* made no sense. 

That being said, this director was just starting out, so I'd say he does have a lot of potential.
