Has anyone seen the first episode?
Jeff C is back and this time Vicki wants to go into rehab also. They offered her a bed in a connected facility but not to be a "star" on the show. She seemed to hesitate but then accepted.
Nikki McKibbon - The girl w/pink hair from the first American Idol
Steven Adler - former drummer for Guns N Roses (I think)
Tawny Kitaen - OJ's ex-gf and David Coverdale's and some baseball player's ex-wife. Did some acting also.
Amber Smith - model/actress
Sean Stewart - Rod Stewart's son

Gary Busey - in the first episode it looks as though he thinks he is a counselor and not a patient

Busey says he is clean, then a bag of weed falls out of his suitcase. That guy is a mess. His fake teeth also are pretty gross. I imagine that guy has been out of work for awhile.

No, she is an opiate addict. So yes probably Vicodin, but I am sure she takes others as well. She also takes a variety of other prescription drugs.

Jeff calls the police and says he's been kidnapped and is being held against his will. It shows a couple cops showing up at the center.
The show is sad as hell, but quite entertaining too.
They (medical science) should come up with an implant that makes you sick if you drink or take certain drugs. It should be placed in a person after they detox. Unfortunately I don't believe they will ever come up with such because it will take money away from the government, pharmaceutical companies and rehab doctors and clinics.

Unfortunately that involves/entrusts that the patient actually takes it. I'm talking about something that is implanted in them...like the birth control that's implanted under the skin.

Yeah, that would be a great idea. Maybe even a blocker that won't let you get high. I am sure they can come up with all types of things.

Unfortunately it's true. And I must state that my thoughts of this implanted device is not for the afflicted, it's for those around the afflicted, their families and even those they could harm while being under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

Should we force overeaters to get gastric bypass surgeries or chain fatties to treadmills? Drug abuse sucks but I don't see how we can force lifestyle/spiritual change on people.

Someone who overeats is not going to physically induce harm to someone...unless of course they are super hungry and someone is holding a cheesburger, lol. ;D
Drug/alcohol abusers are not "in control" of themselves or their surroundings and can involk physical harm to others (via car accidents, cooking/smoking then passing out causing fires, become violent because they need a fix, etc.). If someone (government) can prohibit drugs (alcohol at one time) they should be able to make serious abusers have a device implanted in them to stop them. Hell the government is making 16 year old girls take a drug to keep them from getting cervical cancer...

What about the people who have to lift fatties in the hospital or care for them once disabled? What about the children with severely diabetic parents pr daddies that can't play catch, give piggy back rides? What about the skinny wife/hubby crushed underneath the girth?
And here's one more thing....... despite the myth, fat people are not jolly. You'll never have a bigger pain in the butt than a morbidly obese patient. It has something to do with publicly losing their independence so they get mad at the world and aren't big fans of the hospital's dietary restrictions. Putting them on 1800cal/day makes pushing down emotions with food impossible.

I can quit at any time. I'd be a miserable (oops! can't swear here) person for two days but quitting is pretty easy. :)

on the show he seems like a gentle and caring guy (who is also funny!) out of everyone i like him the best

Back to the rehab topic....
i can honestly say that i am into my 16th day of sobriety (from weed) ...
For those who know me they all know how i loved to smoke.
i smoked for 10+ years at least one blunt...on SAT and SUN many times it was 3-4 ...it got worse as I started to generate income, then i got the flu and a terrible cough, took x rays for pneumonia and they (docs) saw some early signs of lung damage...so i quit... i was exp terrible withdrawl symptoms like insomnia, hot flashes, irratiablity, crazy dreams....but i feel good now..i have a long way to go but i have a good support system and i keep busy with work, gym and going to NA sessions. I feel so much diff, exp. feelings i pushed aside and taking care of issues in my personal life like an adult. So now what do i spend this extra 200 bucks a month on ? lol just kiddin , i feel great and never want to smoke again. Watching C rehab and intervention all the time helps too...just wanted to say that.

for those who thought about trying it out. initially it hits you with that feeling like your high up in an air plane with pressure on your head and ears on high elevations. then you start getting mad drowsy. its more like a gay ass sleeping drug really, damn i know some dudes who spend TONS of money on this sh1t, no i really think they are idiots. its alot like alcohol without the bloated ness or sickness of getting too drunk. i will never spend money on this crap again
but this goes to show how ignorant the whole board is, that fears even low protien intake, heroin is not addictive, the buzz is nothing spectacular
