Against the Law
I wanted to look a bit better for the beach last year, so I researched anabolic steroids. I went online and found some place that offered to sell me steroids through the mail. I used a credit card and placed an order for some stuff that the site promised would help me lose some fat before the summer. I think it was about $500 worth of steroids.
When the steroids arrived, I had to sign for them with the delivery person. As soon as I signed for them, I took them inside, and the doorbell rang again. It was the police. They said that I had signed for an illegal drug and pointed to the package which was still in my hands.
Over the next few hours, they searched my house, my car, and my property. Eventually, they left, but they took the package with them. I think I was lucky because they didn’t find anything in my house, and they didn’t arrest me. But I never got to use the steroids I paid for, and lost $500 that I really could have used for something else.

Changes...
I started taking steroids to enter a local women’s bodybuilding contest here in Canada. Everyone at my gym said I could place well, and my boyfriend was pretty into bodybuilding and was willing to coach me through it. He told me that all the girls were on steroids and that I should use them too. I trusted him at the time, and he said I wouldn’t have to use needles.
So I started my cycle and my diet, and everything looked like it was going great. I was starting to look sexy like the girls in the magazines. My muscles were growing and my fat was disappearing. But then I started getting a little larger in my private areas… I was also losing hair, and getting acne.
Eventually, the side effects were too much for me and I decided that I should just drop out of the competition. It wasn’t my boyfriend’s fault, but I was very angry with him at the time.
Looking back, I wish I would have just tried to do the contest without any steroids and didn’t care so much about what place I was going to come in.

Needle Nightmare
At my gym, steroids were easy to get. I figured that they were no big deal, so I tried a cycle during my sophomore year wrestling season in high school. I bought a bottle of testosterone and a syringe.
I only wanted to have one syringe in my house because a bottle and a syringe is pretty easy to hide, but ten syringes would be pretty difficult, because I still live with my parents. Everyone told me that I needed to use a different needle every time I injected but I thought I could just heat the needle up over a flame and it would be sterile. After a few weeks of shooting into my shoulder it started to get swollen and looked weird.
Then one day at wrestling practice, the place on my shoulder where I usually inject started to hurt and feel hot. My coach looked at it, and he thought it was badly infected, so we went to the hospital. When I was there, I had to tell the doctor how I got the infection, and my coach found out that I was using steroids, and he told my parents. I got suspended from school for a week and the wrestling team for the rest of the season and all the kids in my school found out too.

Imbalance
For me, taking steroids was a natural move. I was an athlete in high school and got a college scholarship to play football at a major university. Between my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college I started my first cycle because I thought I needed to be faster. I took injectable testosterone and winstrol. I figured that winstrol must be good because it’s what Ben Johnson got busted using. I wanted to be fast like him.
I was getting stronger at every workout and feeling great. I had heard that steroids can make your joints weaker but I figured Ben Johnson didn’t have that problem, so it was probably just a rumor.
When the first day of training camp came up, my muscles were way too strong for my joints. I stopped using the steroids because I didn’t want to hide them in my dorm room. I went into camp feeling strong, but when the steroids were gone, my joints hurt and I couldn’t keep up with the workouts. Eventually I got injured and missed most of my first season. Steroids just aren’t worth the temporary boost.

Attractive?
I started taking steroids in my early 20’s to look better for girls. I was always kind of skinny, and thought that I could go on a small cycle and get a bit bigger, and be more attractive to women. I bought some pink pills from a guy at my gym. I think they were called “Diana-ball”. I thought that was great, because I was trying to meet more girls, and “Diana” is a girl’s name.
At first I gained a lot of weight and strength. I thought I was looking better, but I still wasn’t really meeting more girls. After a few weeks, I started noticing some hair falling out when I was in the shower. I didn’t think about it at the time. I never had a problem with hair loss before.
Before I knew it, my hairline started getting higher and the hair on the back of my head started getting thinner. I was going bald in my early 20’s! I stopped using the little pink pills, but it didn’t matter. The hair never really grew back, even after I stopped. I ended up losing hair and a lot of confidence when I was talking to women, all from using something that was supposed to help me meet more girls! I wish I never met “Diana”.

Mistakes in Afghanistan
I did my first cycle when I was deployed to Afghanistan. I had a few bottles of QV Testosterone Enanthate and some Clomid for PCT. I had no idea I was doing, but I randomly injected whenever I felt like it. I would inject 750mg/day for a few days and then a mission would come up so I wouldn't inject for a few weeks. I also only brought about fifteen 20 gauge needles with me so I was reusing each one 20 times or more. They no longer even had pointed tips so it was like sticking a Bic pen into my leg. I'm lucky I didn't get Gynocomastia, but I do have some pretty bad acne scarring all over my back and shoulders. Also I'm lucky I didn't damage my hormone levels too much since I was probably completely shut down for almost a year.

How many of you remember the rigors of peer pressure, when the other kids would corner you in the hallway and tease you because you don't use testosterone?
Adolescence is a unique transitional stage during which teens are no longer children, but not yet adults. It’s a time when teens discover who they are, and contemplate who they want to become. During this stage teenagers face challenging decisions many of which are influenced by peers. Illicit drugs invariably become one of these decisions, and several are electing to use androgenic anabolic steroids (AAS).
“Peer pressure” is the term used to describe situations in which members of the same age group influence each other’s decisions. We’re not talking about body piercing or who to date. Peer pressure with regard to teens can be a powerful reality manifested in variety of negative ways. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, “It often challenges the teenagers’ morals, values and beliefs in such areas as experimentation with tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs.” During this normal part of the maturation process parents and teens become more physically and psychologically independent of each other, while peers begin to replace the family as the teen’s socialization center. By the time a teenager reaches high school, they’ve doubtlessly heard these phrases several times:
“I’m going for it, who’s with me?”
“Come on, it won’t kill you.”
“All the popular kids are doing it.”
“Everyone is doing it.”
“What are you afraid of?”

The people in these stories should have never tried steriods, they dont have a clue what their doing. Using needles over again, ordering using a cc and then signing for it!!!!! Wow what a bunch of rocket scientists. Alittle research would have done them good.

I would like to read some real stories from the getbiggers, of people they met in the gym or friends who abused steroids.
-
EARLY SIGNS OF STEROID ABUSE
One of the most obvious signals of steroid abuse is sudden muscle growth. Unusually fast bulking up, especially in the shoulders and neck region, and across the chest and biceps often indicates steroid abuse.
Another easy sign of steroid abuse is an unusually significant break out of acne on the face, or even more common, on the upper back across the shoulders.
Next, look for mood swings or other shifts in behavior outside the norm such as a violent or combative attitude.
Some changes may be a bit more difficult to spot, and may need a bit more observation on your part.
Get involved in your child’s life, but don’t be pushy. Kids can sense when you’re boxing them in. They will make it harder for you to help them if they are distrustful or decide to close you out.
Pay attention to their clothes and hair. Look for a dramatic change such as shaving their head or drastically changing their style of dress.
Is your child’s circle of friends changing? How is he or she relating to friends and family lately?
Often, the signs are subtle. Using mouthwash or excessive brushing due to foul breath can be an indicator of steroid use.
Paranoid behavior may become evident in daily activities. They may become more secretive and closed off.
For example, becoming irritated by an adult’s presence in their room or hiding their internet searches and interests, can be an indicator that something is amiss.
Here is a no-brainer that parents can easily miss if they aren’t tuned in to their child’s interests. If your child talks about steroids or asks questions about steroids or even work-out supplements, it could be an early indicator that you need to pay more attention to what’s going on in his or her life right now.

I shot 3 cc'c of Primotestin mixed w/3 cc'c of injectable B-12 into my right calf, and then shot 3 cc's of Sustanon 250 mixed w/3 cc's of B-12 into my left calf. An hour later I trained calves... lots of reps... lots of sets... light weight. An hour later I could not stand up. Absolutely could not. My friends found me in the back little office at Gold's Venice laying on the floor, with my legs up on the wall. Here's the converation:
Tony: "What's wrong with him?"
Martin: "That idiot shot 12 cc's of shit in his calves and then did 25 sets of calf work."
Tony: "What an idiot."
Me: "I hate you guys."
The end.

Steroid Abuse
One day I had a really hard day at work and when I came home my steroids just wouldn't stop nagging me. I tried to stay calm. I'm not the kind of guy who likes arguing, but my steroids just wouldn't leave well enough alone. They just had to have the last word and keep on pushing it. I just snapped and I slapped them, pretty hard. I felt really bad right away. Anyway, I'm in counseling now.

Where in the hell did this side effect come from? I've seen it mention before in anti-steroid propaganda, but never actually heard of anyone who really uses them getting it. Sort of like the bigger stronger faster video when you hear the brief part where the guy says "The Hallucinate, they hear voices." WTH?

WHAT TO DO FIRST
No matter what’s going on in your kid’s world, as a parent, you have to understand and respect the generation gap. It isn’t easy to stay connected to your child’s interests and concerns, but with a little effort, you can stay informed.
You need to understand the basic needs of every child. You were a child once. What were you concerned about? Odds are, you wanted to be accepted. You wanted to look your best. You were susceptible to peer pressure. You wanted to get the girl or get noticed by the popular guy. Things haven’t changed all that much since you were a kid. The difference is kids today have an access you never had. Drugs are easily obtainable, and steroids are no exception. Now, with internet access in almost every home in America, kids are exposed to every market and consumer good on the planet. With minimal resourcefulness, a kid can discover, research and order steroids and within days, have them in hand.
In this world of instant gratification and quick fixes, steroids are the ultimate esteem builder and they are readily available to children who are willing to ignore the serious side effects for short-term fulfillment. You have to be prepared to deal with that. You have to be ready to confront your child before things get out of hand.
Children, for the most part, crave a role model. You can be one or you can allow somebody else to. You have to be a formidable presence in your kid’s life because there are a million other influences pulling at him. From muscle magazines to MTV, the physical is praised over all other virtues. Win at all costs is the mantra of today’s athletes. And, though the dark underbelly of steroid abuse is beginning to see the light of day in the news, nothing has really changed. Steroid abuse is on the rise.
The key is to promote your child’s self esteem as early and often as possible. Encourage a healthy lifestyle and participate in it. Establish a healthy body image for your child by using positive words that instill confidence. Compliment your child often.
By laying down a solid healthy foundation early on, you can head off a lot of problems that can come up including the choice to abuse steroids.

Haha pathetic!
I wonder what legalisation of these drugs will do. Will this educate the uninformed users to take the proper precautions?
But anyway, kids need to stay the fuck away from steroids. They really give them a bad rep.

Photo Verification
This section was mostly designed to help parents, educators, coaches, etc to identify a particular steroid you may have run across. Many black market anabolic steroids are manufactured over seas and can be very hard to identify. Although there are a lot of steroids manufactured inside of the United States, most black market steroids are not and they can come in many different forms and packaging. These black market drugs can be very dangerous and many are over dosed or contaminated with harmful chemicals.
Please submit a picture of the drug in question and we will do our best to help you identify what it is you have found. We have an extensive database and some fantastic resources to help in this matter. Identifying these drugs are crucial in finding out what dangers or side effects the user may experience when taking them.
Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page along with a photo of the steroid in question and an answer will be submitted to you via e-mail ASAP. Please be sure to submit a valid e-mail address as this is how you will receive your answer.

Myth #1 – Steroids are safe.
FALSE! The side effects are significant and are more likely to be serious the younger the person taking anabolic steroids. They include liver cancers, hepatitis, heart disease, cholesterol elevation, blood sugar elevation, epileptic fits, fluid retention, and ultimately heart-attack and stroke as well as cosmetic effects such as virilization (early or excess growth of male characteristics) in males, early fusion of growing bones (stops growth) in teenagers, androgenization (loss of feminine sexual characteristics) in females and growth of breasts in males. See Side Effects of Anabolic Steroid Abuse.
Myth#2 – Steroids won’t really stunt your growth.
FALSE! Teenagers and adolescents who abuse anabolic/androgenic steroids are at risk to remain short their entire lives, never reaching their body’s intended natural height. In females, estrogen is responsible for determining their generally shorter height than men, and estrogenic steroids can affect growth platelets in the long bones by speeding up the natural growth process. The synthetic steroids convince the platelets to seal off much earlier than usual, leaving the youth permanently stunted. Some steroid supporters claim only a few steroids convert estrogen and cause stunted growth. In actuality, over 30 different steroids including Equipoise, Dianabol and Nandrolone have been determined to convert into estrogen.
Myth #3 – All steroids are pretty much the same.
FALSE! Anabolic/androgenic steroids, made popular by bodybuilders, professional athletes and the local muscle guys at your gym, are basically synthetic male testosterone. The anabolic component deals with muscle and skeletal tissue growth. The androgenic component deals with secondary male sex traits such as hair growth, sex drive and sperm health. Anabolic/androgenic steroids can also convert a third component, an estrogenic component, which regulates numerous functions in both male and female. Anabolics differ from other steroids such as corticosteroids, which are used to treat inflammation in diseases. The body produces corticosteroids naturally in the cortex region of the adrenal gland, though the actual medications are manufactured synthetically. Corticosteroids are often used to battle asthma and extreme cases of allergies. Though anabolic steroids can also have legitimate medical use, they are often acquired illegally and used in massive, uncontrolled doses for maximum muscle gain.
-
Myth #4 – Steroid abuse isn’t really a big problem in the U.S.
FALSE! More and more people abuse steroids each year. With professional athletes inadvertently promoting steroids in the news, bodybuilding magazines overtly promoting steroids in their ads and so-called steroid experts preaching “safe” steroid use on the internet, many young people are caught up in the hype, wanting a better body, a higher batting average, or a faster quarter mile. A recent study at Penn State revealed among 9th to 12th graders, nearly 7% of males and 5% of females reported abusing steroids at least once. The American Heart Association has estimated that at least half of all Division I college football players have used steroids over substantial periods of time. Unfortunately, common sense tells us not everybody is talking. The numbers are almost certainly higher.
Myth #5 – Only a certain kind of person uses steroids.
FALSE! Many types of people abuse steroids. The reasons people are getting involved with steroids are varied. Many teenage abusers fear not making the team or getting noticed by the coaches and colleges. Some people think their gym peers will not accept them unless they take the challenge or dare to do steroids. Some guys fear they won’t get noticed by the right women without steroids. Some gym-goers believe that they won't be able to compete since all the other guys are using steroids. Some abusers are afraid their appearance or performance isn’t as good as it could be, and that their self-esteem will be diminished as a result. It is an inherent problem of human nature to seek acceptance and approval. Steroid abuse allows a false sense of accomplishment as strength improves, muscles grow, and mentally, a sense of power is introduced. All the while, potentially devastating damage is being done to the body. It is a poor trade-off and because of this false mental sense, it often becomes an addiction.
Myth #6 – Steroids aren’t addictive.
FALSE! In spite of the prohibitive cost, negative physical side effects and numerous warnings from a host of sources (print media, internet, television), an undetermined number of steroid abusers continue taking massive amounts of these synthetic hormones. What can be determined about the addictiveness of anabolic steroids when abusers experience withdrawal symptoms ranging from fatigue, mood swings, reduced sex drive, restlessness and insomnia, and a desire to take more steroids? Is it possible that a previously healthy minded individual would attempt suicide after quitting steroids? The quick loss of muscle size, physical strength, and the diminished psychological sense of power provided by steroids can cause mild to severe depression. Untreated symptoms of depression in individuals experiencing anabolic steroid withdrawal has been shown to persist for a year or more after quitting, depending on the amount of steroids used.
