Only your statement strengthens mine as Darth Maul is in fact a Sith from the Dark Side...

Actually the ideas behind star wars are believed to be derived from Castaneda's work.

there's no time to eat every 2 hours and train when you're fighting the dark side of the force and trying to destroy the death star.

Quaker,
Wouldnt the midichlorians in the body keep it in an anti-catabolic state thus promoting an anabolic environment to achieve superior force sensitive muscle growth?

Yes, Castaneda became the Toltec master of a certain line of shamans during his work.
I read that Lucas was influenced a lot by Castaneda. It's probably a mixture of different things.

Try reading "Hero with a thousand faces" by Joseph Campbell. It pretty much inspired Lucas. I'm relatively certain Campbell was seriously into Frazier's Golden Bough but that's a hard book to read.

Having read some of it I'd say "The Power of Myth" by Campbell is an easier read.

The Golden Bough is a giant series. What I read was really good but it's several books and written in a very dry British, scholarly way.

Coincidentally, I'm in the midst of reading it. I had just finished reading William Goldman's 'Adventures in the Screen Trade'. Before that Robert McKee's 'Story' six times cover to cover and John Truby's 'Anatomy of Story' 3 times.

I'd rather say they are both trying to loot the other for a few bucks.

Both have the same problem, basically: They are constantly overlooked.

Nobody will ever recognize Prowse because nobody knows his face. Ferrigno will always be the guy that got his ass kicked by Arnold.

Everyone is a twink puss in these films.....  If Darth Maul was 295 lbs he would have destroyed everyone...  Discuss.

Ray Park was kinda muscular, actually.  And besides, if Darth Maul was Ronnie-sized, he wouldn't be able to move like he did :)

I guess you could consider Lord Vader a bodybuilder.  Emperor Palpatine sure "built him up" in Revenge of the Sith, haha  ::)

Okay, that was bad.  But seriously, Vader had some muscle.  Not IFBB muscle, but the areas in which he wasn't a cyborg had to be beefy.  It was David Prowse under there, after all.

I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan -- have been since I was little.  I've always loved boys, but when I was young I wanted SW toys, not stupid Barbies.  When I was first on the Internet ... well.  If you knew of the fanfics I've read  :D
