Title: Does anyone here think that McCain will be gracious in defeat?
Post by: Straw Man on November 02, 2008, 11:21:08 AM
How about Palin?

I've listened to that crank call 3 times now and now I'm not even sure she would understand that they've lost

Yes he will.

His supporters? Not so much.

But to be fair I don't think Obama's supporters would be as gracious as Obama in defeat either.

agreed regarding supporters on either side but I'm really wondering if McCain will be cranky and pissy in defeat.

yeah but think of all recent interviews when asked about other Republicans who question his choice of Palin.

He gets very testy and unable to hide his frustration and anger

Are you wondering or hoping that McCain will be this way?

I think John McCain will be the class act that he's shown himself to be all along.  Palin will go back to being the most popular governor in America, and America will forget about her until the 2012 election season.

Actually, I don't think Obama is a particularly polarizing character. The only thing he really has against him is the fact is that he's half white half black - so plenty of whites will be sceptical towards him.

So I think if he wins, remember, it ain't over yet, most Republicans will probably be cool with it.
Political nutjobs can be found everywhere.
Fanatical Canadian schmoes, longing for a green card to be with their Cali Vampire Muscle Daddy  can be found in both parties ;)

Which, I can only assume, is a snarky way of saying "Yes, he'll have a meltdown."
He's shown himself to be unstable and a drama queen throughout the entire election.

I still think McCain will win.

If he doesn't, expect a total assault on: the liberal media for being in the tank for Obama, ACORN's massive voting fraud, and other democRAT fraudulent voting tactics.

The groundwork has already been laid.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall for that meltdown.

Poor Cindy! I'd hate to be in her shoes tomorrow night.

I wonder if she'll show up in dark glasses with a black eye in the future?
With McCain's temper, ...it wouldn't surprise me if he took the defeat out on her.

What better way for Obama to reach across the isle to show he's willing to work with Republicans and heal the nation?

Now he just needs to make Ron Paul the Secretary of the Treasury.  ;D
