actually there's a chance that he would be more moderate than anyone expected with "first black president" at stake. This is how he was as first president of the harvard law review. If it was because that's just him or first black played a role in his thinking, I don't know.

He'll be a moderate all right, ...or at least be perceived as such. He has a gift of getting into the heads of his opponents in such a way that they feel validated. That's how he won the Harvard Law Review, and how he has gathered so many Republican endorsements. His ideology may stem from the left, ...but his MO is from the centre.
