In all likelihood I could see Huck going to the Senate and then maybe running. I liked him the most but he had little experience to appease this election group, although experience wasn't a credential needed to be Pres or VP in this election (applies to both parties).
It was going to be tough for the Democrats to lose this election no matter what the Republicans did, Bush saw to that. The only reason it was as close as it was is because Obama is such a polarizing figure. The Republicans actually got lucky when the Dems nominated him because if he doesn't have some real accomplishments in his first term 2008 could look a lot like 1994 did: people will be running to the polls to boot Obama out. The Republicans need to regroup and get back to being what they are supposed to be, small government, low taxes.

I supported Obama since the day he won the nomination. He was my pick in the dem primary. I hoped Ron Paul would run independent but he didn't. I have every right to put Obama in my avatar, what do you have Crazy Canadian? :D All you did was show up to these boards and act insane. You acted like Obama was a sports team and you admitted your fervor was team oriented when you said the excitement for Obama was a black thing for you. From what I've read, Palin is returning to the state with lower approval ratings than when she left ~2 months ago. The Dems who cooperated with her to RAISE taxes on oil companies are pissed at her attacks on Obama and some Repubs are pissed because she called for Stevens to resign (and she wasn't really on great terms with Repubs in her own state anyway). I've also read that the price of oil has dropped so low that Alaska is in jeopardy of not having a balanced budget.

This is the exact truth and I've never tried to paint a different picture here.
My choices in order:
1. Ron Paul (only if he ran independent in the general and I probably would have held my nose voted for him as the republican nominee.)
2. Obama
3. John Edwards
4. Joe Biden
5. Bill Richardson
6. Dennis Kucinich
7. Hillary Clinton
and no, I wouldn't have voted for Micky Mouse...

maybe you should ask why I was in support of Ron Paul before thinking for me. Yes, there are things I don't like about Ron Paul. There are things I don't like about Obama. I voted for Clinton twice, and there were things I didn't like about him. I viewed the overall change/correction that a Ron Paul presidency would put on the republican party and their neoconservative change of direction as far more beneficial to the country in this time. I also knew that Ron Paul would be strongly checked by congress, from both dems and republicans. but, the adobted neoconservative ideologies I view so dangerious to the country would fail under Ron Paul.
