First, he's guest posing. He's not going to get up there and do quarter turns. Second, competitive BBing is never going to be in the mainstream. BBing had Arnold and it still wasn't popular!
He's probably one of the very few pros actually getting paid good money to be a pro and it's because he is entertaining and making a scene. Draw a crowd, get a lot of cash. If it's ever going to be more popular than it is right now, it's going to be via guys like Kai.

No it's bodybuilding's fault. People don't generally care about oiled men in posing trunks. They care about feeling good, looking good towards the opposite sex, and how much weight they can lift in the gym. Again, increasing entertainment value is the only thing that is going to making bbing more popular. Do you actually think people would start swarming pro bbing events if everyone just stood up there and hit the manditories?

Kai's posing is like that, it's exactly that-an expression of his personality. Give me a stage with 15 competitors who all put their personalities into their posing routines and take a lot of time and effort doing it and I'll give you a good show. Bbing still won't be popular to the mainstream, but it would be more entertaining-which is what it is about or there wouldn't even be a posing to music round.

Thats one of my favorite routines and physiques ever. Those side twisting shots showing the arms and the 22-23" waist were incredible. One of the smaller guys but Mokkawy could easily look bigger than he actually was.

If they want to make it more popular there has to be more rivalries as well. Thats what makes wwe exciting is that there is always drama and a back story behind why the wrestlers are feuding. They need to start coming up with so and so slept with jay cutlers wife and shit. Or so and so is stealing training techniques from phil heath, wolfe, or whoever.

Great points, although I do like to think that BBing can be mainstream with the right changes.
This wasn't one of Kai's most entertaining routines. It started off great with the horror-type outfit, but there really wasn't enough posing. A Lee Labrada makes sure that the creatibe moves he's hitting are also somewhat posing shots, as this is a muscle show after all. Kai's dancing for 80% of this and that does get stale.

I had top stop watching halfway though. That was one of the gayest and most wierd posing routines I have ever seen, more suited for a homo or drag queen club!

Imagine how embarassing it'd be to bring a friend or a date to a bb show and then see that. They'd think your a freak for being into bodybuilding at all.

I agree with other posters here and it never dawned on me. What if I was to go to that show with someone that has never been to a bodybuilding contest. I can guarantee you, they'd never go again.
As I have said before he is wrecking bodybuilding with his epileptic posting routines.
