a shift of troops from Iraq to start new operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan or Iran even if it meant another 5 years of war and as much money spent as was in Iraq?
-
As long as the Obamessiah wills it...we shall obey...if Bush or a Republican said it....it would of course be a mistake.
-
It's not a matter of our supporting it or not. Iraq is too close to Israel and we'll never fully be out of there because of how our politics are.
-
Sure we will, once we are no longer using [Middle East] oil.
We're stuck there (between them and Iran) forever. Just the way Bush and the Neocons planned it.
-
We'll be mostly out by 2011....we won't be running combat missions,as we do now, by the end of the year. Its all shifting to Afghanistan.
-
Maybe some Syria and Pakistan under Lord Obama's rule...
-
If we fuck up Iraq look for WW3 coming to a theatre near you.

How many people were for going into Afganistan?
80% of us were for starting that war.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/5029/Eight-Americans-Support-Ground-War-Afghanistan.aspx
60% of us were for Iraq (after being subjected to a heavy propaganda fear campaign of pure lies)
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/2020/iraq030310_poll.html
Personally I think we should have taken out Saudi Arabia :D and then launched a true investigation into exactly why and how 9/11 happened.

We had one of those campaigns after 911 too.

I'm asking about today. Would you support the shifting of troops from one region to another if it cost the same in money and lives and years but for a different mission? The one link you supplied is from 2001, the other link looks like its old too.

yea I know you're asking about today and I know those were polls taken during the leadup to those wars. You can't not look at the past in addressing today so I brought those comments to the thread for a reason.

I am against a war with Iran.
I am against the Iraq war, dumbest war ever, nothing against our troops, they're doing their job.
I really do not want to see a war with Pakistan, that has got to be another route. And if they have to, we best have the world united with what and why we're doing it.
9/11 investigation would put a nice context on things, but won't happen...
