Title: Cholesterol and AAS
Post by: DIVISION on November 10, 2008, 03:54:49 PM

Despite my AAS use, I've never had any cholestrol issues.

Of course, that might be because my diet is relatively clean, but I'm wondering if the warnings about elevated LDL levels are overstated in regards to AAS?

My total cholesterol ranges from 155-175.

I regularly give blood and they track cholesterol among other things, so I know that my usage hasn't affected my cardiovascular health in this regard.

I wonder how many of you guys are using statin drugs to control your LDL?

I give blood to purify my body, iron_dawg.   ;D

It cleans me out and gives my body a chance to create new blood.

I do the 2RBC (power red) ........where they take out two pints and simultaneously refill you with 2pints of electrolytes.

How does giving blood affect your training?  Obviously you couldn't train that day, but what about the next day and so on?  What's your rebound time like?

I feel "lighter" after I give blood.

AAS tends to thicken the blood, and the bloodletting cleans out the system.

I don't have any weakness from giving blood.

Interesting.  Sorry, one more question.  Some of us may have shall we say "chemically enhanced" blood samples.  Is there no problem with foreign compounds being present at the time of donating?

Of course I've never taken anything by injection that wasn't prescribed to me by a doctor.

I don't use Anabolics.   ;D

None of us do.

Could giving blood reduce HBP?

Not chronic hypertension.

Losing blood volume will reduce blood pressure but it only lasts for a day......

I stopped donating blood when I found out some of the blood being donated goes to those who want elective surgery, tit job, etc.

How do the HDL and LDL look? You don't get only total cholesterol checked, right? Because if you do there's an obvious problem.

LDL is good, but HDL is too low.......

The effects of anabolics creeping in to my life.

Flaxseed oil........SAVE ME!   :P

Nothing some EFA's won't solve.

Total cholesterol is good.......just HDL that needs work.
