Title: Cytosport Cytocarb
Post by: lubawyb612 on November 11, 2008, 09:24:45 PM
How does the Cytosport Cytocarb compare to the likes of waxy and Vitago as far as post workout carb sources. I havent used any of these products before but thinking of trying this cheapest option first.  I can get it for very very cheap.  Any thoughts?

can you explain how these carb sources are processed in the body and how it differs from waxy?

No, actually, I can't.   I know nothing about waxy maize, but I'm sure someone else will jump in.
Maltodextrin is not much different than dextrose.  Even though malto is considered a complex carb, the bond which makes it complex is very weak so it acts almost identical in the body as dextrose (ie; very high GI).
