The Darkside requires no new technology.
A jedi desires not these things!
Remember, Vader once thought as you did.
Look what happened to him. :-X

For the "cool" factor the iPhone ranks pretty high up there. I think the Blackberry is probably a better phone functionality wise. I'd also consider the Android phone(s) that are out now. Google has really made a great mobile OS and have some really cool apps plus it's fully open for development, contrary to Apple's approved application development where they choose only the apps they think are ok for the phone, which is a huge negative.
I've had some issues with 3G connectivity, dropped calls and calls that never ring and I just get a voicemail. That could be AT&T and the area I'm in getting slammed on the data side (I live in LA so it's very saturated here). I've heard this problem from several users as well so I know it's not just me. I went with it becaues my Razor was falling apart and needed a new one. It's pretty cool and works as expected, I just think if you are looking for something with more functionality then it's not for you.

Question about the iPhone? Does it allow picture texts?

Nope. One of the things I hate about it. You can e-mail pictures to people, but obviously that's not as good as sending a pic through SMS.

Thanks & damn.

I have an iphone. It's more a personal computer really then a phone.
I have just as many apps on it as my home computer. It's an amazing phone!

Seriously?
I have to have my cell phone for work. All my clients need to be able to get in touch with me. If they need to cancel a session and I am not at home, how else can they get a hold of me? And no, calling the gym is not an adequate answer, I go back and forth from the gym all day long, from home, to errands, etc.

I live within five minutes of two gyms and the private studio.......
I go home all the time.......it's not big deal.
I've got a unique situation....
Most people have to commute to work, I could walk or bike to work if I absolutely had to.

I live exactly one mile on the dot from the gym I train at. But I also don't have a house phone...I got rid of it a little over a year ago because I never use it, and having a cell phone is more convenient any way.
I'm sure you already know this, but living 14 seconds from work is the greatest invention of all time!

Yes it is!
It's a dream........... ;D
I could get a cell phone, but I wonder if it'd be worth the money.

Yeah the android looks interesting coming up, the first device the HTC dream is a little outdated to put the OS on, but I assume in the future you will see more and more handsets released for the OS. Very cool cause it is open ended OS. Also it automatically updates your OS on your phone for security patches and stuff.
I've heard of 3G issues with the iPhone but thought apple solved them with a firmware release in Sept ? Maybe not, I dunno I don't own one.
Div I don't know sometimes it is expensive, I mean if you get them from some second hand resellers you can get very expensive phones like the iPhone or Blackberry pretty much free with 2 yr contract. But every month its a 50 - 120 dollar bill depending on what plan and options you choose. Att's mobile internet 3.5 hspda is the best now and very fast!

I rarely need a cell phone, it'd be mostly for convenience.
Emergencies are probably the main reason I'd get one, but there are always people around who have cell phones if I had to call 911....
It would be another bill I'd have to pay.........

Nothing I was just seeing what kind of phones most guys like us use.
Yeah I know another bill that takes out of what you would have extra each month to save.
