Describe necessary.
-
I think he means was our use of force justified.
Were we attacked? Yes, the Japs attacked us.
Was war declared on us? Yes, the krauts declared war on us shortly thereafter.
I would say that WWII was a necessary war.
There have been 200 or so military interventions by the US since then.

Hitles was good for getting germany out of bankruptcy

200 is a lot of wars. Korea was bullshit. Viet Nam was bullshit. Both Iraq wars were bullshit. I don't know.

Not sure. Probably some were, some weren't.
I figured it was a trick question since you guys want us to turn the other cheek 100% of the time no matter what.

Huh?
When was the US attacked? Last time was WWII. If the US is attacked, it should fight back, win the war and then come home, not engage in endless foreign adventurism...it drains the resources of the US, leads to worldwide resentment and is simply unnecessary.

When your country gets attacked, it is already too late.
Can you imagine the loss of civilian life we would have. We are living in a bubble over here. If a war happened on our soil, our pampered masses would be like lambs led to a slaughter.

i think we're at the point to where anything short of being nuked or the chinese invading by the milliions; any attakc short of that would be futile

Oh, sorry... does it only count if the attack is made is made by a sovereign country using tanks or bombs or warships or fighter aircraft? This is the 21st century and the face of war has changed forever.
Idiotic "inside job" conspiracy theories aside, are you really going to sit there and tell me that wasn't an attack on the US, on US soil? Not to mention the failed attempt to bring down the WTC in 1993.
WWII was considered unnecessary and unjust by many groups... until certain things happened, like Germany invading Russia or the attack on Pearl Harbor. Then even groups like the Isolationists, Socialists, Nationalists, Pacifists, et al signed on. What would need to happen before you would consider US involvement to be justified?

So preemptive war in the style of the Japanese during WWII is the way to go?

Which is why we invaded Iraq...because Saddam was responsible... ::)

The problem with comparing 9/11 to regular war is that 9/11 was at its core a terrorist act. Not an attack by a sovereign nation.
It cannot realistically ever be compared to WW2
-
WWII necessary? Haha. The banks were funding boths sides of the war as usual. Trying to fulfill their evil agenda. Hitler would have been crushed easily by the Allied powers. Unfortunately we've been brainwashed to believe otherwise. The Nazis had very powerful people in very powerful positions, some right here in American politics.

we conduct lots of wars that are necessary for our many goals.
bases in places, influence over lots of things.
we aren't playing defense of our homeland. We're playing defense of our interests overseas.

The Military Industrial Complex has to keep going.
Fixed.

Herein lies the fatal flaw of the 9/11 conspiracy theory.
If the US gov were just going to make up where the hijackers came from why not say AT LEAST a couple were from Iraq?
It makes zero sense.

I am a 9/11 agnostic. So you're talking to the wrong person.
