Title: Another life touched
Post by: cheftim on December 01, 2008, 09:34:42 AM
A friend from the gym the other day showed me a pic of Ronnie Coleman in a mag and told me he couldn't believe it's real? For ten years I used to buy muscle mags as well. Until the day I bought The Unbelieveable and The Cost of Redemtion. So I lent them to him yesterday. I saw him today and he's a changed man. I love lending those vids to people and seeing their reaction. I remember the first time I saw them. Anyone who's never seen them and is serious about training? It will change your life. Light weight baby!!!!!

I agree.  The first time you see The Unbelievable you are in awe that someone can look that insane.

It will be a long time before we see another Ronnie.

not sure why anyone would have an epiphany after watching that video, I could see if he was using the strength to do some good, like build a bridge, but its just a gym video for God's sake.

I brought it to my gym in Viareggio and my Ital friends couldn't believe it! The best response I ever got was in Antigua. One of my favorite gyms in the world. Roys Powerhouse gym. It a shack on a farm in Swedes Village. Hardcore Gym. Dirt Floor. Chickens and pigs walking around. They train hard there. I brought my laptop there and like two hundred people showed up to watch it. I was the only white one. They went berzerk watching this!!!!!! It was very inspiring watching these peoples reation! Ronnie is the man!

Ronnie doesnt train very hard, compared to say Dorian...

Don't mix up the weight someone lifts with how hard they train...

IFBB should send you a thank you letter.

Also Ronnies form is terrible - If a mere mortal tried to train like him they would last about 5 mins before injury.

As inspirational as the vid is, it aint no instructional "how too"

I used to play his tapes on my big TV in my gym and in between sets nearly everyone would just watch the tv.  Very inspirational when training.  And when I dropped the weights like that I got in trouble at the gym I used to train at.

The trick is to shout "Yeah Buddy" as they drop - Gym owners love that. :)
