if that's the case why would Ronnie break his back doing 600 pound front squats, 800 pound deadlifts, 500 pound barbell rows and benches then?

You could be doing reps with a heineken bottle in your head or the tv remote, you would still be putting on tons of muscle

agree, genetics is a myth.

when you're on as much gh, insulin, test, igf-1, etc etc as these guys, anything you do will put meat on your bones.

studies show that guys taking gear and sitting around watching tv put on more muscle than naturals that lift weights  :o

so add gh, insulin, test etc etc + any sort of lifting and BOOOOM.

however studies also show that lifting weights increases protein synthesis for roughly 48-72 hours, so i would argue that it would be optimal to train a muscle group twice per week as opposed to once per week, even while on gear.

some may argue that while on all that gear your body always has increased protein synthesis, so working out once a week or twice won't make much difference. There are also many professional bodybuilders and average gym rats who build tremendous physiques doing once per week bodypart training, but studies show that every workout increases the magnitude of the responce.

so if you want to get bigger, faster twice a week will do it.
