most of the population doesn't get above 50 grams a day everyday
how do these people survive if we need 1 gram per pound?
most get only 20 grams barely
the diet of most people is mainly carbohydrates and fats, barely any protein
hell, how do vegetarians survive?
I believe we are all living a lie from the protein companies :-\

tell you what.. track your bf% and weight over the next 6 months... eat whatever you like and make no attempt to consume extra protein than what is contained in the foods you wish to eat. then over the following 6 months, eat 400 g protein a day, and track your bf% and weight over that period time.

hahahahaa, the age old "kidneys" bullshit regarding protein intake, if that was the case anyone who ate a couple of steaks and a few chicken breasts over the course of a day would be dropping like flies. ::)

There are no studies that look at the effects from consumption of 400g protein per day. You can't really apply those studies that look at what is the equivalent of 200-300g per day because the statistical models they use do not cover this large of an area.
