But why not just use some of the fat you will consume anyway to cook with it and take a good tasting fat and a little more of it?

because they are the best chefs in the world that means my personal opinion of butter and lard has to be aligned with them? I do not like the taste of butter or lard. Did I in anyway state that they shouldn't be used?

its easier to use a spray...at leats on the G.foreman grill...sometimes when frying i rub oil on the pan.. i dont use butter though...only because i dont have any butter to use..

I just don't understand why the best chefs using something would validate personal opinion on a cooking ingredient?

It doesn't obviously, your original statement however was made in an objective way, just a misunderstanding. :)

i need to buy more cooking spray asap
-
Don't like cooking spray, I stick to butter, just enough so my eggs don't stick.
-
Groundnut oil and butter is my choice. The oil helps to stop the butter burning if using at a high heat (or so the best chefs in the world say :D)
-
i myself prefer a good quality olive oil spray.... and this sounds dumb but cos you can buy olive oil in bulk, i've poured it into like a laundry-type hand sprayer and it works fine.. turns it into a mist
-
goto costco, they have 6 packs of them
-
I use Plazmosis. Its 147% slicker and non-stickier than Pam. True storey...

my father is a chef and gets me huge cans of cooking spray.

You can get one of these for $7 bucks and add your own olive oil. You pump air pressure into it. Works great! No chemicals.
