Definitely no.

Have some rest in between.

Good advice.

Don't do the deadlifts and leg day in a row. The part of the deadlift movement that involves the legs involves the same leg action as squats. This would almost be like doing squats 2 days in a row. You'll hinder your progress in legs due to overlap. (Too much volume on legs.)

I try to have legs and back as far away as possible in a week.

Nay. Not so much the legs but lower back stress from both these movements. Have at least 2 day' rest. Preferred  would be 3  or 4 days between. Good Luck.

You could also do deadlifts on leg day.  Most powerlifters do it that way, as do some bodybuilders (IIRC, Ronnie Coleman deadlifted and squatted on the same day in one of his videos).

Again, (i said this before) "I am not the only dumb person" is no valuable answer.

When you do deads on leg day, you will not be able to do heavy full squats as well, or you are superman. Stiff legged deads for hamstring development are ok on leg day, but deadlifts are a back exercise, and a very heavy one.

Either you train legs like a sissy, or you deadlift like a girl. BOTH on one day os impossible.

hth.

Deads aren't even necessary in the routine IMO, if you're doing squats and rowing exercises you're already hitting that area. Plus they're easy to get injured doing.

Squats and DL's in the same workout is a very workable idea. I have done it quite a bit, as many others have.

If your doing each exercise the right way, and with good form, there should be no negatives. And that includes sets of 2's and 3's (even in a PR). If your too tuckered out from one or the other exercise, when trying to do both in the same workout, your working out wrong. Actually each movement can set up the other when training on the same day. Good Luck.

Actually if QO's watched the USC-UCLA game he could have caught me standing on the sidelines in a few shots on TV. That's what some of my friends tell me. Had to support my island bros. Good Luck.

I have done both dead's and squat's in the same workout, but I couldn't go all out on each one.  I'd alternate them each week, starting with heavy squats then finishing with higher rep (12-15) deads at the end of the workout, then vice versa the next week.  The reason I did this is because deads always leave my hams very sore, and so it was better for me to do them on leg day.

When I was doing this, I was on a Pull/Push/Legs split.  It worked OK for me, but as soon as I went on to a 4 day schedule, I moved deads to back day.

agree...a dead is the same movement in sense except the bar is in front then on your back give yourself some days in between before attempting

Depends on how many reps you're doing.  If you're doing doubles or triples you probably won't get enough of a pump or burn in the muscles to see a breakdown in form doing both in the same workout.  If you're doing hypertrophy-range reps for both then splitting them up is probably better.

2 or 3 reps are worthless for bodybuilders anyways.

A search for the word "bodybuilding" in this thread comes up with zero results.

Excellent contribution.

And ditto for the belief that 2-3 reps are "useless for bodybuilders."  More strength equals more weight for more reps.  More weight for more reps equals more muscle.  Or if you prefer math,

Low reps = more strength
More strength = more weight for more reps
More weight, more reps = more muscle

Therefore, low reps = more muscle

agreed, but NEVER 2 reps on deads and squats if you want to do this sport longer than 2 years.

4-6 reps are perfectly fine for building strength, there's no need for 2 or 3 reps, only if you are a powerlifter.
For building muscle, it's plain useless and will only result in some serious injuries.

I disagree, but anyway, the point is still the same.  If you do squats and deadlifts both for lower reps, they can be done on the same day safely.

The point is: they arent safe at 2 reps. You cant tell me you max out on squats and then move on to max out on deads for the next exercise. Maybe if you do one set with 10 min break inbetween.

I've done (and still do) max box squats and then 3-5 rep sets of RDL's, rack pulls, or deadlifts off a 4" box.  My workout isn't a traditional bodybuilding workout, but I do do them the same day.
