Title: Buspar

Has anybody on this board ever used this drug for anxiety?  I don't want to keep using xanax and I hate to use an SSRI, they just kinda freak me out, I read that Buspar works pretty well, wondering if anyone has used it.  Thanks

No.

You might want to try Valium in low dosage rather than Xanax or an SSRI.

I've used Buspar and it actually created anxiety in me.  I used to have panic attacks that made me feel like the end of my life was coming.  Paxil worked well for me, but getting off of it was very difficult.  That is when I discovered Xanax.  Xanax, even at .25 mg, works well for me 1-2x per week.  What kind of anxiety are you experiencing?
