If the big three go down I will be in trouble - my biggest customer is an autparts manufacturer so its a trickle down affect. I have over a million in quotes for this customer which they are looking to purchase next year (one is for $750K). I'm keeping my fingers crossed

As long as people are spending money, we're fine. It all has to come around and cycle through the economy.
So, when people laugh at someone who says things like "it's a mental recession" or "it's psychological," that's ignorance. They see the money and think that discredits the psychological theories. GUESS WHAT? The money comes from the psychology of those who decided to spend it! ;)

its when people spend what they dont have, creditors decide to raise interest rates, and corporations decide to cut corners to increase their executives bonuses that has us in trouble

True and when people hear about it this escalates to affect the rest of the population, making them fearful to spend their money, which causes more problems and our quality of life will need to simply lower (adjust) to the level at which it should be relative to our cumulative productivity as a nation relative to the rest of the world.

I don't know what kind of bar you work in but I'm sure people will stop going to a club and spending $150 bucks on a bottle of vodka when they could go to the store and buy the same bottle to $30. I know a crown and coke is sometimes $13.
