Title: stress on the heart the heartknows no difference on pounds lifted from x muscle

 200 pound bench presses for sets of 10 is the same as a 200 pound man squating down 10 times , if we are calculating all things as stress on the heart

thus it is practical to get the most out of your workout per time alloted via a high protion of leg training compared to other muscle groups

caloric requirements for the 200 pounds of lifting are the same

there will never be an acurate or productive measure of progress if this fact  is foreign and unknown

many will act like it does not exist and do not realize that 200 pounds lifted regardless from whateva muscle group wil have equal caloric requirments

Umm.....no.  200lbs + weight of arm is not same as 200lb man squatting bodyweight.  With squats you are lifting about 60% of your bodyweight (plus the weight of the bar), thus the weight is not the same.  In addition, the amount of "muscle" (note : this is not QUANTITY) used in squat is greater than that of a bench (quads+calves+glutes+low back, etc  > forearm+tricep+shoulder+pec)

a man benching 200 pounds for 10 reps is the exact strain on the heart

there maybe a 10-12 pound differnce because you are moving your arms and forearms because they would way 10-12 pounds

still relatively the same

Here is a cut and paste of something....I actually was wrong, its not 60%....its 85%....but not 100% of your bodyweight:

To appropriate your weight in the squat, you take your 1RM and add your body weight percent factor.  This is the percent of bodyweight you are lifting in this exercise, which research has shown to be about 85% of your total weight.  This gives you your "actual weight".  You then take this number and multiply it by your desired training percent to give you a "cured percent".  Finally, take this result and subtract out your Bodyweight percent facor from above.  Your result is the "appropriated weight" that you should use.

Let's complete an example to help with understanding.  Say you have a squat 1RM of 300 pounds.  Add the bodyweight percent factor (BPF) to this.  We'll suppose our athlete weighs 200 pounds.  This gives a BPF of 170 (the weight you are squatting out of your total body weight).  So our actual 1RM is really 470 pounds. 


In addition, I could do 10 reps of bodyweight squatting and not feel near the exertion I would feel if I benched 200 lbs for 10 reps.  I dont even want to think about how you came up with such a statement.

well the heart is doing all the blood pumping to the muscles and so forth

the legs are a bigger vessel than the chest and arms

so the legs move more calories or blood/energy faster than upper body my niggah

Do 10 body weight squats.....check heart rate....now bench your bodyweight as fast as you did the squats.  Check heart rate.  Guess which one will be higher.....
