I'll disregard any BS stuff about him as possible.
Some of THE best quads in the business. Mass monster, and allegedly CRAZY strong. His leg workouts very legendary in Yorkshire.
-
The Hitman was a Big dude.Met him awhile back.Nice down to earth guy.Massive quads as shown.
-
I wasn't aware Harrison was nicknamed "Hitman". Or am I missing something?
I'll argue his quads are some of the BEST ever.
-
Use to train with Trevor Smith BFT style in Vegas.
-
OUTER QUADS ALMOST HAVE A PEAK. I'M CURIOUS WHAT HE DID TO GET THAT. OTHER THAN DRUGS
-
I bet he works out.
-
Whatever happened to him, whats he doing now?
-
Yep Known as Hitman Harrison back in the day.
-
Godfather you seem to know a little -- know anything you can share? stats, feats...etc.
-
I bet he works out.
I BET THAT YOU'RE RIGHT. GOOD THINKING
-
quad sweep is suspect - but he looks tremendous either way
-
I know a little of most stuff, he was a Heavy Front squat guy and that shit done over 500lb will blow out the front of the thighs.Fukka had a little trouble walking with all that mass.Only other with what looked like trouble walking Platz ,Big Ronnie and a few others. When Hitman entered a room his Quad would enter 1st.

I'm pretty sharp sometimes.

Godfather, I'd ask you to tell us everything....cause it's hard to find ANYTHING on this guy!
-
He wrote a few articles on Trevor Smith's site very early on.
Turned pro at 19! The year after Dorian did at the British Champs.
I think the competition in the 90's probably made it hard, he would have done better around 2001-2004.
-
I heard he became a wrestler.....I had a tricep routine in an old issue of flex but god knows where that got to
-

I remember his Quads having exactly the same shape when he was a Junior. He had some major Knee injuries around this time also.
-
never heard of him
guy was a monster

THIS IT?
Ian Harrison, 1995 San Jose Pro Invitational, Third Place
CYCLED TRICEPS WORKOUTS
My best triceps results come from a heavy/medium/light rotation from workout to workout. Each workout is based upon a 15-set total, composed of three different movements of five sets each.
My heavy-day exercises are close-grip bench presses, cable pushdowns and seated behind-the-neck dumbbell extensions. Reps are six to eight per set.
For my next triceps workout, medium day, it's reverse-grip bench presses, reverse-grip one-arm cable pushdowns, then weighted dips; all for 10- to 12-rep sets.
My next triceps workout is light. Here, I do reverse-grip pushdowns, close-grip benches, then dumbbell kickbacks. These are for 15-rep sets.

JORTS? MAYBE HE'S A UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA FAN IF HE WEARS JORTS

I also heard he went into wrestling since it paid better (what a surprise?). That guy had it all and if only he could stomach the sport and as long as politics didn't get in the way he would have surpassed Dorian as UK's greatest bodybuilder. That guy was a total monster with a flawless structure.
-
Ian had the quad sweep even from the age of 17,i have a pic somewhere when he won the Junior Universe and his leg sweep was the same.He was squatting 600 at that age. Here`s a pic of him at age 20 winning the British Champs in 1989.
-
The night he won the British he beat someone who went on to win the worlds strongest man contest.Guess who the guy on the left is.

Gary Taylor ?
-
I can't say I blame this guy for going into pro wrestling over bodybuilding. At least the oiled up guys he rolled around with in wrestling kept their underwear on.
-
Gary Taylor
Edit: Damn, Sevastase was faster !

Brutal truth.

Correct.
-
With a smaller waist he could have done some more damage in Bodybuilding.
Maybe a bit better for his health and purse that he didn't, although he surely suffered one of the worst torn biceps I have ever seen during his strongman career.

One of my favorites, Gary Taylor, great strongman.

that's what I read. He "shattered" his knees doing heavy ass backsquats when he was young.

Why do you say that? He looked great and spoke perfect English; not speaking English is usually the handicap. The truth is he didn't market himself well (few BB do) and was eclipsed by strong competition. It's too bad... I rather liked the guy and would have liked to see more of him. :-[
I remember a shoulder training segment he did on Muscle Magazine. Anyone else remember that? ???

Whatever happened to him, whats he doing now?
He was a personal trainer at a gym in Riverview Fl (right outside of Tampa) for a while then left/got fired whatever. I used to watch him train,,,,very unorthodox methods but yes he was big.
Very deep scary voice as well!
-
"Very unorthodox methods" - give an example?
-
he had some kind of injury/problem he could only do leg extensions. heard that at a seminar he did in like 98 with trevor smith and that other british "drug guru" that died.

Another HUGE guy who became a wrestler was Achim Albrecht.
