Kenny was was one of the few good guys in an often sleazy biz. I have known him for many years, and considered him a friend. I will miss him. RIP Kenny.

My condolences to the Kassel family...I've known Kenny since I was 14 years old, as he and Steve Stone were there from day one for me. I'll surely miss Kenny's booming voice starting off the show, and steve right next to him...with those two and Ben, it wont be long before the show goes on in that big contest in the sky!
I'll miss you Kenny

I just finished speaking with Kenny's sister Carol and Mother Mimi who provided me with the following information. The family will be accepting visitation from friends etc. Sunday from 4-7pm, Monday and Tuesday 7-9pm at 42 Palsades Ave, Cresskill, NJ, 07626
They are still getting more details to the cause of death, and to clarify, Kenny did not pass in his sleep, as he collapsed in the front lobby of his house.

My sympathies to Kenny's entire family. The very first time Craig and I ran into Kenny he treated me as if I was someone special and yet he didn't know me at that time. Shows that he had real class. He will be missed. This passing, coupled with that of Steve Stone represents a tough time for not only bodybuilding but also, for so many people who were extremely close to both of these true gentelmen. I can only imagine how people like Bob Bonham and others who were so close to both guys must feel. I hope the great memories of both Steve and Kenny help everyone get by just a bit easier.

I am so saddened by this news. Kenny was always trying to help out so many people in the fitness industry. Since the day I met him he was constantly offering me support in my career and I always looked forward to seeing his familiar face at all the shows. He will be missed!

Hey everyone
I just finished speaking with Kenny’s mother today who informed me that the autopsy was performed today and the cause of death was determined to be Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Kenny’s mother Mimi would like to extend her thanks to everyone in the industry who expressed their thoughts and prayers

There are a few very special people in our world that can make others feel good just from their presence. Kenny was one of these rare souls and will truly be missed.
-
whoa this is sooooooo sad..I have not seen Kenny in a few years, but he and I had a great time at the Blue Note in Manhatten, he was like a big brother. You will be missed Kenny and I will run an extra mile today just for you.

Kenny & Steve were always right there for everybody. It might have been spraying that final coat of Protan or "Pam" on or just giving you some last minute tips/advice before ya stepped on that stage. I love those guyz! :)
