why does competing make it more justifiable.

What's the point of racing a car a quarter mile trying to get under 9sec?  There are many things that there is no tecnical need or necessary purpose to do but people do them anyway because they enjoy it among other reasons.

This pic looks like one of those Asian POW's with his hands bound, awaiting a Be-heading from his executioner.

I've battled with this for a long time now.  The point is the same as the point in everything else, to delve a certain degree of comfort from it, whether it's satisfying a craving from a curious perspective(wanting to develop for the sake of art) or satisfying a lust for love and attention.  I go back and forth between thinking that anyone that has purposely built themself over the size of a regular person looks totally rediculous and stupid to thinking that it is a beautful art form.  I think I'm coming to the conclusion that it's all about why the person is doing it.  The more artsy it looks, the better, imo-these people carry themselves with a confidence that makes it look good.  The more the person is doing it because they crave love and attetion because they are insecure with themselves, the worse it looks-these are usually the freakiest and the heaviest drug users-but there are exceptions, like Ronnie, Yates, Nasser and a few others.  I'll tell you one thing though-our reasons change.  I started because I was uncomfortable with who I was and I think that's how most people start(though few are actually conscious of that reason).  I continue now because it's become my project, like a model or a puzzle that I keep working on, trying to figure out all it's nuances.

those fitness models train , eat, and use just like they are a bodybuilder

1. I didn't like being a "tiny tit" and i feel much better with decent size.
2. It's fun to see every single person looking at you when you walk by. Fat persons are also looked at.. but are not exclusive, big mofo's are.

What's the point of doing anything in life. Hell, we're just gonna evetually die anyway. Might as well just sit around and drink beer all day and collect welfare.

If you don't use drugs, you have no worries about being too big, because nature takes care that you don't grow out of portions, and you can count on that. If you use drugs, you have many kind of problems, because only complete idiots use drugs without an intention to be a competitive bodybuilder. In fact, those gym geeks who use gear without any intention to enter any competition what so ever, are the most pitiful kind of loosers what you can meet in the gym, because they all have few common denominators: They all try to compensate their incomplete manhood (small dick) and low IQ with muscles, ending look like Carrot Top.

I don't know if the quest for a plastic trophy really justifies AAS use over anybody else who takes it.

The reason?

To be different. Who wants to be like the rest of the sheep. At least you can accomplish something in life.

You should set big goals, like that Kayne West song says 'Shoot for the stars so if you fall you land on a cloud' better to fail trying because you'll probably end up somewhere high up anyway. Great music shame he's such an insecure dick

To attract attention from other men.  ::)

I mean that quite seriously.  But you might as well ask, why run fast, jump high, lift heavy, or  perform any other physical feat?  People have always been impressed (good and bad) by big things.  It is one thing to be big naturally, but to build yourself into big man by adding muscle mass to a degree that most people can/will never do is, on some level, impressive--especially to other men.  ;)

Sure you do.

You already are, "onlyme", and you have ther potential to become much bigger still. And the scary thing is that something tells me you will fulfill your full potential until you develop your own gravitational field and swallow the Earth. :-\

I agree with this-if it matters to you to avoid mediocrity, be a little more special, if appearance matters to you.

Being big was fairly important to me in my teens and 20's. Even though I'm just about as muscular now, I'm more concerned with my overall image. I see so many goofy looking, juiced up guys at my gym and watching the way they walk, talk and act, they come off kind of stupid looking overall. Being muscular with great poportions and lean, combined with charisma, intelligence, and class is way more impressive than your average oafish gym guy. If you want to stand out, you have to have everything, not just be a dime-dozen bulked up, puffy faced, inarticulate doofus.
