all drugs and rice and beans ;D

Good ol' fighting in Japan cause they don't drug test. Gotta love it. But he most definately is a monster.
-
Has admitted to only being 6'3"-6'4". In any case, he was/is a monster.
-
Living proof that any amount of skill can be overcome by sheer power.

Living proof that any amount of skill can always be overcome by sheer power.
Didn't help him recently against Jan Nortje.
Didn't help him against Nog, Crocop, Jerome Le Banner, Kazuyuki Fujita.
Loved watching Sefo KTFO Sapp.
He was a sideshow (like Kimbo Slice), pure and simple and never a threat to any of the top fighters in K1 or MMA.

That's just wrong. Plain and simple.
-
It was funny when Crocop made him cry.
-

Uh, not really. His size was nullified by SKILL as pointed out by americanbulldog. homo.
The Japanese love a sideshow attraction. In Pride, his fighting style was listed as "Football" for crying out loud. Sapp is a businessman. Plain and simple. Hope this helps.

Wrong, fucking moron.
He conveniently forgot to mention that, Bob Sapp beat the BEST K-1 fighter(excluding Aerts, et al) not once, but...TWICE.
Bob Sapp, a man with limited fighting skill and poor pain tolerance, beat the former kickboxing champion of the entire world -
relying solely on his monstrous physicality.
Someone will probably chime with conspiracy theories and say, "well the fight was stopped early by the Yakuza controlled ref..."
You can watch the videos yourself on Youtube and decide for yourself.
An argument can be made that one fight was stopped early;
however, Sapp soundly defeated Hoost in their other match.
And now, today, another huge fighter with questionable skill sits atop the K-1 throne:
His name is Semmy Schilt, and he's in the 6'10'' range. The same is true in boxing:
Gigantic fighters have superseded smaller fighters.
Someone will say that giant boxers like Valuev reached the top without facing stiff competition,
but the fact is, he was facing the best competition at the time.
Now ask yourself this: What attribute of fighters can prevent them from fighting each other?
The answer is weight. Smaller fighters are not allowed to fight larger fighters, because the larger fighter is at a distinct advantage.
There are no restrictions based on the attribute of skill; a rookie is free to fight a seasoned veteran if money is to be made.
Restrictions are based only on weight, because size is a bigger factor than skill in a fight.
At a certain point, no amount of skill is going to overcome a tremendous size disparity.
Videos can be posted of smaller fighters beating larger fighters, but that doesn't disprove my initial statement, which is this:
The most skilled fighter can be defeated by someone larger, with relatively tremendous power and relatively limited skill.
Bob Sapp defeating the greatest kickboxer in the world twice, with football, is proof of the initial statement.

Semmy lost to Nog (see a correlation), Barnett (2x), Sergei.
If u wanna go back to his Pancrase days, I believe he lost to Guy Mezger, Kondo, Funaki and Suzuki.
Size does matter, but only if all things are equal. Thats why there are weight classes. Sapp is a bad example. He was fed a steady diet of cans from the Japanese.
He did beat Hoost, twice, but Hoost was aged, and already on the way down. How'd you think he do against Mark Hunt? Not to well, when pushed, he folds like a deck of cards, kind of similar to the guy Pro Elite staked their promotion on.

Anyone and everyone's got a fighter's chance. I've seen Asian bitches in the club knock out the biggest juiced up bar stars just by hitting the lights out button on their chin. At the end of the day skill is far more important than size you disgusting little homo. Hope this helps.

Exactly! Sapp is the poster child for the pure size/strength versus skill. In Sapp's case he does have legit free style fighting skills unlike Kimbo who was simply a stand up street fighter doing battle with other street thugs and not trained athletes. But even with Sapp's decent skills and overwhelming size and strength advantage it was still no match against a professional fighter.
-
taken to an extreme, imagine a skilled human being vs a gorilla, there is no fuccking way the human would win. in reality though, no human has near gorilla strength so a skilled guy would win most of the time.

I dont follow MMA but in boxing Valeuv has already lost to a guy 10 inches and 60lbs lighter in Ruslan Chagaev and lost against a 47 year old Evander Holyfield (who was robbed) who is 10 inches shorter and almost 80lbs lighter.
Valeuv is not the champion (title holder, major difference) and the Klitscho's are. Wladimer has lost to men smaller than him also.
Also, isnt Fedor only 6'3?
Hes beaten guys alot bigger than he is who were tremendous fighters in their own right.

Fedor is closer to 6'1

James, I am not saying, and hope no one else is saying, that size and strength don't matter. Of course it does. It matters a lot. Just like conditioning matters a lot when fighting at a high level. All else being equal the bigger and stronger man will win every time. The point being made is that if you want to be a fighter you have to train as a fighter. If you want to be big and strong then that is where you must focus your training. If you take two men and one trains solely as a fighter and another trains solely as a bodybuilder/powerlifter the fighter is going to win. Wolf, Dexter, Cutler don't have a prayer against Nog, Mir or even smaller guys like Penn, GSP and Gomi. Hell, I'll even throw in 40 years old 140 lb Royler Gracie in the mix. Just like those fighters would look ridiculous on stage in a thong.
Two different sports. I do think bodybuilding/power lifting compliments fighting, i.e., building your body will make you a better fighter. But I don't think it works the other way around. Being a better fighter will do nothing if your goal is to win bodybuilding shows or power lifting events.

Well, that is true, as it is true that he would beat Mohammed Ali in Alis current condition, but do it prove something? Only that Hoost would be better of if he has retired sooner. What comes to Sapp, he is an idiot, and currently only fighter who has been crying in the K1 ring. He is also only fighter who I have seen give up a fight just by sheer fear. K1 doesn't need clowns like that.
-
Monstrous - no man who is physically way above average could beat him.
If a 5 foot something tried to fight him - good luck.
-

I'm not saying that I'm gonna knock anyone's head off in K1 or the former Pride fighting organizations, but I've broken bones, been shit kicked by gangs of guys, scratched in the eyes, knocked unconscious, kicked in the groin and I've never cried from any of it. I've been in so much pain that I've fainted but I can't recall CRYING... that's pretty sad. I've seen big dude and smaller dudes get fucked up and I don't even know if any of those homos actually cried and sobbed like Sapp.

i'll tell you this much, crying or not I WOULDN'T FUCCK WITH THAT MONSTER.

Oh hell no. That'd be certain death for me. Size is extremely advantageous. I'm just saying that skill owns size. Look at Fedor and Hong Man Choi... ;)
I like what Fedor did to Tim Sylvia on that note. Tim wins most fights be "default" because of his size and lanky awkwardness. I wouldn't hold him in the same regards that I do someone like BJ Penn or George St. Pierre in terms of sheer skill.. and Fedor picked the shit out of Tim in less than 30 seconds. Tim was calling Fedor a "tiny shit" and said that he was over rated, fights cans and only fights protected, hand picked fights when all the planets, stars and moons are aligned................. .. after getting abso-fuckin'-lutely dominated he just kept saying that Fedor's not human.

I didn't read most of the posts but no matter what anyone says that fucker is huge, built great for being 350 pounds, very agile for that size and even though I don't he is very good he still has the balls to go in the ring. So if anyone said bad shit about him then I expect you must compete too and are bigger, stronger and better than he is in the ring. And no matter what too, the guy makes a lot of bank.

i agree 100%, dude is a great athlete and fighter, plus he's been in major movies and makes big money, especially in Japan, they love him over there.

There is an optimum weight at which human beings can operate athletically ie with a decent mix of strength, speed, power and endurance.
In boxing the fighters who possess this mass are called 'heavyweights'. ;D
Anyway, sad to see a fighter of Hoost's skills be dominated by someone like Sapp, with little technique and jsut brute strength.

So what you are saying is, that only what you need to be a K1 fighter, is seer size and an IQ of the left foot flip-flop as Sapp has? I have seen just about all his fights, and all what he has done, is lower an average IQ of Japan with several points just by himself.
-
Haha look at his stove pipe fucking legs. He looks uncooridnated as fuck! Lower body of a fat black woman.
-
Fedors about the same height as me, 6 ft 1, i know cos i was showing him a few moves on the mat and he was about my size.

You have to admit that the 3 point stance he uses before the bell is awesome, great poster pic.
