I am just getting over a stomach virus from a few days ago....alot of puking and diarrhea. I can finally eat some whole foods again but I just feel really weak. I get tired just walking around or trying to clean up my apartment. So what are the best foods to eat to try to regain my strength as fast as possible? Should I just eat stuff like chicken noodle soup or fruit, or should I try to eat more whole foods? Also, would it probably be a bad idea to get really drunk tonight for new years?

When ever I am getting over a sickness spicy food usually does the trick. Also sour food seems to help for some reason. Try eating an orange with a little salt put on it. Also don't worry about getting drunk, I almost always drink right after a sickness, it helps you feel good while you are still a little sick. Plus when you are sick you can get drunker for cheaper! Win-win situation!

Sorry, but whey protein powder mixed with gatorade sounds nasty right now. I'm really not concerned with being in a catabolic state at the moment...I just want to get back to feeling normal as soon as possible.

Bacon egg and cheese with ketchup on a hard roll.

Yogurt for replenishing healthy bacteria in your colon, fiber to help dry up and pass any liquid stool. Gatorade for electrolytes..Ease into any greasy fatty foods.

Tweeter - Get some grease on your stomach son. Seriously, get hydrated before you start drinking. A predialyte may be a good idea. You get any fluids intravenoulsy when you were sick?

Eggs and steak = good recovery

Actually the best thing to do when you are sick is fast. After fasting and once you've recoved is when you pile on the good food. Animals will not eat when they are sick. If it's vomiting and diarrhea it's best to get some lytes in so you don't dehydrate.
