It seems to Debussey that the entire american culture simply sees black as "sub-humans" in most aspects of life. In everything from business to education.
Like the expression "mudshark", and "she is tainted" (for a white woman having fucked a black man).
Is this accurate?

Or "once you go black we don't want you back"? I think it's more associated with attractive woman dating thugs and athletes.
-
I wouldn't say "sub-humans" but I'd say that a lot liken them to certain actions, like higher crime rates and what not. Not sub-humans, but more like they're more wrapped up in things they shouldn't be.
-
I think most blacks are lacking the personal responsibility aspect of life. They seem too busy blaming other people or the past for their current situation.

I think it's a combination of jealousy with the high number of blacks who are athletes or in entertainment.....or who are doing well in society....and I think it's combined with disgust about the high proportion of blacks who are poor and committing crimes....whites don't understand why each and every black person can't be successful if they worked at it....they don't understand that centuries of violence and forced poverty directed at blacks, and isolation in the inner city has bred a group of blacks who do not believe they will ever get a fair shake in society and so embark on crime due to frustration, anger, boredom, and lack of opportunity....some blacks DO see themselves as second class citizens and low-lifes because this has been drummed into them....there is a culture there that believes this....
hopefully with the election of Barack Obama many blacks will wake up to the opportunities out there

Oh brother...... ::)
Another one that thinks that because Obama is going to be president that the black society will suddenly open it's eyes and be responsible for their own actions. Quit blaming everyone else for their troubles, that would be a good place to start.

Why to then immigrants coming here in poverty worse than blacks do well within a generation while blacks can't despite preferential treatment and quotas? :-\ It's their problem and nobody else's.

No, it's their own fault for not "manning up" and taking responsibility for their own lives. Plain and simple.
The black community is to blame for it's stereotype.

That's like walking up to a lifetime raging alcoholic or drug addict and telling him to pull himself up by his bootstraps, to get in control of his life, and then walking away. African Americans in the slums or just rough communities are in a longwithstanding downward spiral that's going to take more than just 'manning up' to get out of-they've been pushed down by whites up until today and will continue to be so tomorrow. Having said that, blaming people of today for crimes of the past by people of yesteryear is wrong and shouldn't be brought into the picture. That's the reality though and their current situation is a reflection of that reality. Giving them more oppurtunities based on their skin color isn't right but continuing to treat them poorly because of the situation they are in right now, which is a situation that stems from worse than awful treatment in the not so distant past(plenty of black parents out there who were actually in their 20s when they got the right sit with whites and eat in the same room and vote..etc) or treat them with the callous 'get up and do something' attitude isn't going to work. You have to do what works and that is empowering people via kind and fair treatment.
-
in fact it seems that black had a lot of prejudice against white, cos black were surprised that white voted for obama.
-

I read this and stopped, bullshit on the rest, don't care what you typed.
-
Then you missed the point. If you'd read the rest of it you'd have understood. I don't have first hand experience but it seems as though getting out of projects and other rough communities is similar to getting out of addiction-it's a downward spiral and everyone and everything around you is either pushing you further down or seems like it is. Walking by, telling them to man up has not worked up until this point. Kind and fair treatment has.
-
the issue of blacks is very comlex and im not going to start typing about it because the discussionn will take too many thousands of words and i dont have the energy to so, nor the desire. face to face i would talk your ear off.
long discussion very short =
what may seem to be may be because of what seems to be or because of what used to be, and whats seems to be facts are not facts that support treatment appropriate for those facts
if that makes any sense

The media is driven by the Jews...There is no debating that...The Jews are some of the smartest mother fckers on the planet...The black race is the most genetically coded spiritual human on the planet...They hold most of the answers to life(they just don't know it) and may not ever know it...The smart men pulling the strings are trying to surpress the coding that is in the black men and women...
The truth is the black race is probably the superior race from earth...The men behind the curtain are trying to eliminate the black race by breeding them with other races and making mutts out of all of us...And the code will be lost or at the very least very hard to regain...Because if the code is ever found again, you can kiss any type of materialism goodbye...We would once again be one with the world(earth) and that is not wanted by the capitalist of the world...

What needs to happen is all the blacks making tons of coin need to put there money in the poor areas...The truth is, they won't do it...Because the return isn't there...They don't see the big picture like the jews do and the asians do...Just about every other race took care of there own...The blacks don't do it and will pay for that...But make no mistake, the media is telling them to cross bred and telling them that racism doesn't really exist...

It's all about the difference between our African-American community and our guy community....they are two distinct classes of people and most of us choose not to distinguish between the two.

then it is their own fault for believing this type of bullshit. Anyone can accomplish anything if they put their mind to it. If you want equality, demand it by showing you can succeed by your accomplishments, not by being pissed off, hating whitey and crying about how unfair the world is to African Americans.... By the way, Most blacks in the US were born here, their mom and dads were born here, but yet they are still wanting to be called African Americans. Hell my family ancestry comes from France but I am not calling myself French-American. I'm sorry, I refused to call someone African-American. I just call them by their names... Their AMERICAN names.

I knew this thread would descend into racial name-calling and other nonsense.,..I will try to put it back on the right track,,...first of all, Camel Jockey, you have the nerve to talk about PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT???......whites in this society have ALWAYS had preferential treatment..since the times of the pilgrims up until now...YOU CONVENIENTLY FORGET SLAVERY and the JIM CROW laws which said it was OKAY and JUSTIFIED to DISCRIMINATE AGAINST BLACKS...YOU FORGET THE HISTORY OF LYNCHING BLACKS FOR SPORT....what about discrimination which goes on to this day where WHITES ARE SELECTED AHEAD OF BLACKS AND OTHERS FOR JOBS???..whites have always had affirmative action..it was called JUST US....HIRE JUST US..PROMOTE JUST US...SEGREGATE BLACKS AND HISPANICS INTO ISOLATED GHETTOS WHERE THERE ARE NO JOBS and GIVE APARTMENTS TO JUST US...
so to say that blacks get preferential treatment is ludicrous..and stupid....(I am not calling you stupid however)....whites have been getting preferential treatment since America was started..do you deny that?.or is every single white person a hard-worker who pulled himself up from his bootstraps???..impossible....and if you want to talk about quotas and affirmative action, historically, WHITE WOMEN HAVE BENEFITTED FROM AFFIRMATIVE ACTION MORE THAN ANY OTHER GROUP!!!!..or do you want to conveniently forget that because it doesn't fit into your theory???....why do you think there was such an explosion of white women coming into the work force in the 70's , 80's, and 90's???
people like you don't want the facts because you don't want to feel "guilty"..blacks don't want whites to feel guilty...just help to make things better....and acknowledge the above.....but the history clases in white schools don't talk about the above..they put the above into "Black studies classes".....so young white people don't understand since they aren't taught this stuff.....slavery and discrimination is part of WHITE history as well.....but it seems to me you guys don't want to talk about that and acknowledge your OWN history of cruelty and discrimination and instead you want to put the problem off on black people because it's convenient and makes you feel better about yourselves....just like historically Hitler put all of Germany's problems on the Jews because he needed a scapegoat....at least the German people have come to grips with what they did and have apologized....have white Americans done that???...NOW..debate me on these facts and don't hide behind racial name-calling and stupid stuff about white women and black men

i teach and this is what i see
!) most Amreekan non military black males are not up to speed in the smarts dept. (prolly mostly because they r in it to get a cert and make $ and not for the interest in the field. I get the most questions such as " so how much $ i will make after i pass this test" by this group)
2) Military, marine yadayada whether black or white follow directions to a tee and are super hardworkers and usually if not always do good.
3) most if not all African blacks are FAR smarter and harder working than people mentioned in # 1 (exception..Nigerians..ne ver fail to execute piss poor performances///people from Ghana seem to be really smart on the other hand for some reason)

No, but dick size is. And I would say most white males are sexually threatened by black dudes banging white chicks, because they think all black guys are hung like mandingo from watching porn.

yes and me and my father have a disagreement when it comes to this. To be totally honest...i like SRV a bit better because to me he is cleaner and sharper. Ok take for isntance the diff between Mingus and Davis. (i know they played different instruments) but Davis played much cleaner sharper and fluid ...its limited but more pleasant for me. Mingus was off the wall abstract and sometimes i thought he was just playin shit for the sake of playing it with no rhyme or reason. But he is still considered virtiruoso because he could make the bass do anything he wanted. I say that to say this, Yes jimi was awsome because he made the guitar make sounds that were never heard (like tom morello of RATM) but sometimes it sounded like noise.
-
(like tom morello of RATM)
great great great great guitarist
what does it matter how technically skilled a player is ? i think its much more about the music
anybody can take lessons for 30 years and become very very skilled. but not just anybody will have the musical creativeness to create totally new+awesome melodies on the guitar

I absolutley feel you..the key words are create new and awesome melodies. And jimi and tom will give you that. But i guess i prefer the technical chord changes of srv or fats domino or albert king to a wild off the wall LSD induced solo by jimi.

i just watched some charity concert Eric Clapton put on last year. Almost everyone but him was playing a telecaster.
I have a shitty epiphone les paul.
Here's my order of equipment buying i plan on buying:
1. complete pedal rack, i have about 4, i'm shooting for about 5 more pedals / effects.
2. get marshall amp head plus crate.
3. get fender stratocaster
4. get telecaster
5. get boner inducing les paul
6. buy bass
7. repeat list for bass
This of course, will take place over many years. 240 or Rob gave me a couple more pedals to get, so i might buy one or two of those this weekend.

Only two pedals you need: Distortion Pedal and a Reverb pedal. Let your playing do the rest. Old School.

It seems to Debussey MY PET ROCK that the entire american culture (YOU MEAN..WHITIE...JUST SAY IT) simply sees black BLACK (CAPITAL B OR ALL CAPS...IT IS A NOUN... NOT AN ADJECTIVE) as "sub-humans" (THIS IS QUITE A REMARK COMING FROM A 'SAVAGE'..) in most aspects of life.
In everything from business (THIS BUSINESS PART IS LAUGHABLE...SEE... AS AMERICA GOES DOWN THE TOILET WITH 77 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT THANKS TO WHITIE...MORTGAGE MELTDOWN, FINANCIAL MARKET MELTDOWN, MANUFACTURING MELTDOWN, NOT TO MENTION OWING THE WORLDS COUNTRIES TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS... THEY STILL, DESPITE ALL, TURN TO HATE THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD NO PART IN THE WHITE CORRUPTION THAT HAS DRIVEN THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN INWHICH AMERICA IS NOW CONTAINED...
I GUESS ONCE DEBUSSEY AND WHITIE ARE "SOUP LINED" WHICH SHOULDN'T BE THAT MUCH OF A TRANSISTION FROM THE TRAILER PARK HE IS ALREADY IN, THEN HE WILL SEE WHAT JEW RUN AMERICA THINKS OF HIS AMERICAN (WHITE) ASS).
education (SO FAR AS EDUCATION GOES...WITH A WHITE FEMALE BEING THE FACE OF A SCHOOL DROP OUT, THE FACE OF PROSTITUTION, THE FACE OF WELFARE, THE FACE OF A DRUG ABUSER, THE FACE OF A CHILD ABUSER AND THE FACE OF AN ABUSED SPOUSE, THE FACE OF POVERTY AND IN GENERAL THE FACE OF FAILURE IN AMERICA...IT IS WITHOUT COINCIDENCE THAT SHE BEING THE EDUCATOR OF THE WHITE FAMILY AND THE CARETAKER HAS RAISED A RACE OF FAILURES..CORPORATE CROOKS, PRISON INMATES (MAJORITY WHITE), WELFARE QUEENS, TOTALLY PSYCHOLOGICALLY SCARRED CHILDREN, DRUGHEADS, POOR FAMILY VALUES, FaILURES FAILURES FAILURES...LOL... WE SEE THE RESULTS OF WHITE WOMENS FAILURE EVERYWHERE ...EVEN RIGHT ON THIS BOARD.
Like the expression "mudshark", and "she is tainted" for a white woman having fucked a black manYOU MEAN A BLACK MAN HAVING FUCKED A WHITE SLUT...IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A WOMAN TO FUCK A MAN. SO FAR AS TAINTED GOES...THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A WHITE FEMALE...SO MANY RACES OF MEN HAVE HAD THEIR FILL OF THIS FILTHY BEAST CREATURE THAT FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES A WHITE FEMALE DOESN'T EVEN EXIST ANYMORE...THEY ARE ALL POLLUTED FILTH....AND THEIR OFF SPRING ARE MORE THAN LIKELY BLACK, ARAB, HISPANIC, CHINESE, MEXICAN, AFRICAN, POLYNESIAN, OR SOME OTHER PEOPLE.

Why not just become proficient in every aspect of the game? And being able to play many different instruments to a high degree of proficiency + knowing advanced music theory? THEN you good.

harmony is a brand of guitar. the cheapest crapiest one. it was a joke. lol
i have a friend like you descirbe. almost any instrument, he can play anything he hears, after only hearing it once. plus he creates his own stuff. but he spends all his time in funk cover bands. stuff like tower of power and sly and the family stone and rush. the rush cover band was amazing.

"Chet Atkins was the one of the greatest guitar players of all time and my personal inspiration" - Jimi Hendrix.
Chet Atkins, "Mr. Guitar"
-
Chet Atkins and Mark O'Conner..
Mark sounds awesome on the accoustic, and Chet, is well, Chet.
-
great great great great guitarist
what does it matter how technically skilled a player is ? i think its much more about the music
anybody can take lessons for 30 years and become very very skilled. but not just anybody will have the musical creativeness to create totally new+awesome melodies on the guitar
Agreed. Any 16 year old kid that's been playing for a few years can play "eruption" note for note but Eddie Van Halen THOUGHT of that shit.

I remember when i first heard that back in junior high. We were in my friend Brett's basement and he unwrapped the album, played it and we were like "what the fuck was THAT?' So we played it about 8 times before moving on to the rest of the record

To tough to name just a couple of guitar players it's to subjective.
the one thing that all great guitar players have is humility ;)

Charlie Daniels!!?? OOOOOHHHHH BROTHER!!!!

Skillwise: far from the best. But at the same time, he had a knack for writing great melodies and songs with attitude, so he will get a honorable mention as "one of the legends". "Cowboys from hell" = classic, even beats Vulgar.

Can` forget Satriani.

Top 5 all time guitarists
1. Chet Atkins
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. Phil Keaggy
4. Eddie Van Halen
5. Eric Clapton
Most underrated and inspirational guitarist - Buddy Holly (who would probably be one of the richest men in music right now, if you take into account his songwriting skills and producer aspirations, only 22 when he died)

This is the thing Rock legends are made of, although the quote never confirmed and most likely false, the legend continues.

I knew this thread would descend into racial name-calling and other nonsense.,..I will try to put it back on the right track,,...first of all, Camel Jockey, you have the nerve to talk about PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT???......whites in this society have ALWAYS had preferential treatment..since the times of the pilgrims up until now...YOU CONVENIENTLY FORGET SLAVERY and the JIM CROW laws which said it was OKAY and JUSTIFIED to DISCRIMINATE AGAINST BLACKS...YOU FORGET THE HISTORY OF LYNCHING BLACKS FOR SPORT....what about discrimination which goes on to this day where WHITES ARE SELECTED AHEAD OF BLACKS AND OTHERS FOR JOBS???..whites have always had affirmative action..it was called JUST US....HIRE JUST US..PROMOTE JUST US...SEGREGATE BLACKS AND HISPANICS INTO ISOLATED GHETTOS WHERE THERE ARE NO JOBS and GIVE APARTMENTS TO JUST US...
so to say that blacks get preferential treatment is ludicrous..and stupid....(I am not calling you stupid however)....whites have been getting preferential treatment since America was started..do you deny that?.or is every single white person a hard-worker who pulled himself up from his bootstraps???..impossible....and if you want to talk about quotas and affirmative action, historically, WHITE WOMEN HAVE BENEFITTED FROM AFFIRMATIVE ACTION MORE THAN ANY OTHER GROUP!!!!..or do you want to conveniently forget that because it doesn't fit into your theory???....why do you think there was such an explosion of white women coming into the work force in the 70's , 80's, and 90's???
people like you don't want the facts because you don't want to feel "guilty"..blacks don't want whites to feel guilty...just help to make things better....and acknowledge the above.....but the history clases in white schools don't talk about the above..they put the above into "Black studies classes".....so young white people don't understand since they aren't taught this stuff.....slavery and discrimination is part of WHITE history as well.....but it seems to me you guys don't want to talk about that and acknowledge your OWN history of cruelty and discrimination and instead you want to put the problem off on black people because it's convenient and makes you feel better about yourselves....just like historically Hitler put all of Germany's problems on the Jews because he needed a scapegoat....at least the German people have come to grips with what they did and have apologized....have white Americans done that???...NOW..debate me on these facts and don't hide behind racial name-calling and stupid stuff about white women and black men
::) You do realize that BLACKs were bought from other BLACKS dont you ? And the trade was still going on in AFRICA long after whity obolished it in america ! In fact there were several black nations trying to get the states to reinstate slavery right up until the early 1900s ! It wasnt quite as one sided as the media likes to portray ! ;) So maybe my great granddad died fighting slavery and some of the black complainers are from a family tree who promoted it ! just a thought ! PS who should get reperations in that sinario ?

Why to then immigrants coming here in poverty worse than blacks do well within a generation while blacks can't despite preferential treatment and quotas?
Because the Africans came from a tribal society.
Not only did the Europeans come from countries with much more developed technology.
But these societies were also much more developed, generally.
Africans didn't have a civil tradition, didn't have social organisations, networks, et al.
It was all tribal.
Putnam's study in Italy showed how important developed social networks in a society are.
South Italy is much less democratic than north Italy. Lower participation in elections et al.
The difference, concluded Putnam, was that in the north there had been a lot of networks for several hundred years, eg church choirs, sport clubs and what not. In the south - not so much.
I would bet anything that African-Americans are less involved in social networks than other ethnicities in general.

Its interesting that the "white man" destroyed almost all of the Mayan culture and artifacts because they seen them as useless and devil worshipers...When now we know that is very false...

I'm going to go ahead and challenge that. I think impoverished immigrants 1. Are often faced with a reality that is a bit more sink or swim like than your average natural born citizen, many of whom swim in an environment they find much easier than the one they came from. 2. Are treated better than blacks in society by way of no general past associations/experiences with them-people in the US don't have as strong negative associations towards them and although they might not treat them as equal members of society as they should, they don't as often make an immediate strong judgement upon them before they open their mouths-but of course it often happens, I'm talking about degrees here.

How smart is MattC really? He touts himself as a genius yet he was too stupid to realize that Ron would surely shitcan him for posting that pic. He also lives in what appears to be poverty and drives an 18 year old car. I'll admit he's smart enough to use google fairly well, though.

His IQ = between 130 and 135 in recent tests. As a 17 year old he had 127 on a test. His average on tests since 17 = 130 (he has taken about 10 tests since then). Over 2,5x as smart as Debussey.
Addition to post: He lives in Thunder bay because he likes it there, and because it = cheap which enables him to accumulate money. He had opportunities to go to many major universities on scholarships after high school.
