Just wondering if you guys all get the same shit the first few weeks back in your gyms for January. The first few weeks the machines and weights are cluttered with "new years resolutionsts" (lack of a better term) who are going hard with the idea to change their physiques for the better. Unfortunately they hog machines, take their sweets ass times and display horrible form all while checking themselves out constantly. Come week 3...."poof" most have come and gone like the year prior. I always get a kick out of these bunch but at times find them completely annoying and just want to tell them go home you know you wont stick to this shit....
-
Every year, it's the same shit.....
-
These people are a gym owners dream ! Locked up in a direct deposit contract for a year for about a month of actual gym time.
-
Welcome back Thaddeus, long time no see. :)
-
they will all give up by feb
when they aren't huge and ripped
after one months training
-
Nice to be back Chaos....I had 2 weeks off before I start back on the 5th so my gf and I headed out to Puerto Plata Domincan Republic which was a blast except she got sick the last 3 days....we still made the best of it nonetheless with some atv riding, horseback riding through the mountains, etc. and a whole lot of tastey food and drinks....I think I put on like 8 pounds (damn all inclusive kills ya)...

I'm back at the Temple on Monday and I'll find out how many "new year resolutionists" have joined up. They tend to piss you off throughout January and then they're gone for the rest of the year. Meanwhile the manager is counting all the money he's made from the six-month or yearly memberships these poor fools have taken out!
-
A guy joined last jan, was on gear after 2 weeks, yes TWO weeks then quit by March cos he wasnt getting anything like Ronnie!

sure but why are you worrying about other people

The gym parking lot was parked to the tits. Usually I park in front but today I had to circle for a couple minutes to find a spot near the back of the lot. Not one fucking hot chick either, a bunch of old geezers and fat miltnfs
-
A few of them will enjoy lifting and stick to it. Let's welcome our new brothers and sisters in iron! :)
-
Just got back from the gym and it was packed like hell with tons of newbies....I had to change up my routine a bit because I refuse to wait and stand around to wait for the specific machine or weight I want to use....I wonder what the percentage is of those new years revolutionists who actually keep with it? Probably like under 5%...
-
i re-joined the gym yesterday. my membership expired on christmas and i wanted to take a few days break and play with free weight in the garage.
it wasn't bad. there were maybe 5 or 6 new people, but other than that it was normal.
-
Damn Id love to train at your gym for the first few weeks of January cause my gym is a madhouse with newbies everywhere, using everything and the line of yet even more signing up for memberships was about 15 long when I left for my session....oh well they will all soon be gone...would be interesting to tag em and see which ones actually stick to it to find out the actual % of those who keep with it for more then 6 months...prob less than 5 percent...
-
i haven't been to the gym this year yet :D
i'm waiting them out :o
-
They should all be gone within two weeks.
-
i know EVERYONE in my gym.
Its only 30' x 60' i seen a few new faces in the gym join already
-
The one good thing is that at least most of them that venture into the free weights section only use 10lb and under weights because they "don't want to get too muscular."
-
sure but why are you worrying about other people
You care enough to post from your phone.
-
Haven't been back yet :) start on Tuesday. Pretty certain there will only be a minimal amount of the new years crowd. Same goes for Tae Kwon do which I start back on Monday.
-
sure but why are you worrying about other people
because you have to deal with their presence int he gym you retard.
-

1 out of 20.
-
These people keep the costs down and the doors open. If they are on your machines for a month or so, switch up your workouts a bit. Not a big deal imo.
-
I have to deal with those people every year, at least they will be gone by Feb. But it's not all bad, they are good for a few laughs.
-
I hate these people. Luckily I walk into the gym like Roy Munson walks into a bowling alley. I OWN it. Instead of grabbing pizza I grab a Pre-Workout drink from some newbie with a TAPOUT Shirt. Don't take any crap from the "Revolutioners". Show them how we do it..

aren't you the guy who posted for advice on trying to talk to a random gym skank?
-
i dont mind them at all.. i went this morning -Saturday, so of course it was packed full of clueless fat people.. but they're all afraid of me and move out of the way..

Yes i damn well am. I meant the new version of Munson at the end of the film where he tries to grab the pizza but the guy takes it right back.
-
I hate the resolutioners as well as the "I'm going to get cut for spring breaker's" that come on about a month after the resolutioners leave.

Yeh i bet they all shake with fear!
-
I noticed a little yesterday and maybe today. I go when the gym opens first thing. During the week I go at 5 am so I dont think I will see the newbies there at that time either
