Exciting, isn't it!!
I love him!
I love his work!

A crowd shout of "gh15" wouldn't be known by all in that facility they would think "growth hormone?"
AVBG would understand the shock value and so would that individual on stage :D

I'd bet if Cormier was returning you'd be interested.. ;D Give us a break JJ down in Australia we don't much in the way of pro bodybuilding.. ;D

that is true, i am a 'fan' of CC ... but i didnt like the time Lee won the Aussie over Cormier, then only published like 4 pics from the show.... :-\
-
Lee and toney in the top two.

JJ you're a good guy and you know just like you I am a big 'fan' of CC (I've met with CC three times in his visits to our shores), but I was there at that show and the pics didn't do Lee any justice- Lee had CC's measure at that show (and I'm def not a fan of Priest's physique). BB judging can be subjective and those two physiques are like Chick says "like comparing apples and oranges".. Lee had the conditioning on that day.
-
Lee and toney in the top two.
If Lee makes it to the show (injured shoulder) he'll do well and be up there in the placings..Lee gets his shoulder checked out on the 28th of this month.
The top two injuries aside will be Freeman then (gh15) Dennis James. Sylvio will be third then Jeffers 4th then Mo 5th..
AVBG approved.

c'mon Joe... your shtick is old. Come up with something different this time eh?
-
Been saying for Months Priest will Win Aussie Pro show and collect the MASSIVE Check of $10k and the Judges will have their Aussie way. :-\
-
Being one of the Bigger IFBB Shows can you give us all a breakdown of the winnings from 1st to 5th, I bet it's worth a FORTUNE in cash and Prizes.FFS and they call it a Pro show. :-\

The breakdown will be the same as most pro shows. plus we have a nice trophy/cup for the winner.
I pay full expenses for 5 top guys (including flights) and accommodation for everyone, which is more than most shows.
Now my question for you as your critisism is so old that it is predictable, when are you going to put your balls on the line and promote a show? What is it that stops you? Lack of balls, lack of funds or scared to ask your folks if you can stay out late?

ziiing.. TD at his best. You know what Tony? Usually the one's who criticize are the same who can't.

10, 4, 3, 2, 1
Happy now?
Back to the topic mate, what have you done lately (does not include your message board fetish)
Yeah great comeback, that is some of your best work. You are quite the wordsmith today.
I have lost money plenty of times on shows and still paid all expenses and prize money.
-
You could Not even bring yourself to type Dollars beside those MASSIVE Amounts.
Mr Getbig paid more than 3rd in that Pro show.
-
You could Not even bring yourself to type Dollars beside those MASSIVE Amounts.FFS.Mr Getbig paid more than 3rd in that Pro show.Fuk NO Wonder you started name calling.Diversion baby won't work here. :-\
$$$$$ there you go.
BTW Mr Getbig does not have to pay sanction fees, hotels, airfares, food, transport, trophies, venue hire, printing (flyers, postcards, street posters, posters), lighting, audio, staff, judges, vehicle hire and a whole lot of other stuff that you wouldn't comprehend.
Now I have answered some of your original questions how about some answers from you.
Apart from criticizing others, what have you done for bodybuilding. If you wont promote a show perhaps you could sponsor one or maybe help out with set up or backstage. Do you attend shows or just hide behind your rather original (not) screenname?
I am happy to answer anything but it has to go both ways tiger.
PS I am not your baby.
-
Messiah is a top guy, Bodybuilding is like most extreme sports, not a great money maker, but he keeps putting this show on every year, He overcomes more obstacles than any other promoter to run the show, just by havin a non supportive national body who only use the sport as a source of revenue for themselves. Without Tony D, Australia would have fallen off the bodybuilding map.
-
I Don't know who Tony D is but I believe Arnold told me as has the Heads of the IFBB that Mr Paul Graham is the main man over there in Australia. He is the Reason BBs are even in the IFBB from Australia.Sounds like some are Motivated only with GREED. :-\
-

Has Arnold also told you that you are full of shit? ::)
-
I respect Tony D for laying out all the other overheads involved hence the price money not being that great , and it is no way his fault , he is doing the best with what he has to play with but 10g imo really is not worth it..Preists drugs for this comp would be more than this..No wonder these guys turn to other unsavory acts to support themselves all the while the Weiders (well one of them now) sit there like scrooge mcduck swimming in there millions..
How about giving back to those that helped you get rich Joe ::)
Am no way am I hating on Av or TD or others involved at the "ground level" by the way.. The effort , time and stress to put somthing like this on must be huge , and all involved do a mighty job with little reward.
What Im saying is these guys are part of the biggest BB federation in the world , they are Pros yet what they put themselves through to acheive the look thats expected of them ,really is not rewarded, all those guys on stage deserve somthing and top 5 even more..
Its time the top of the chain started supporting who made them rich in the first place.
-

Well i hate to be blunt, but when Joe dies it might be a good time to try and reformat bb'ing and the way it is promoted. The Weider way is too old-school, the IFBB need some fresh ideas to get bb'ing out there.

Yes I agree..I dont think it will ever be mainstream and all ways will remain "underground" so to speak but it deff can do with some fresh ideas
-
GF what you say is true, its not the smartest occupation choice, but its their choice, most including myself would chose differently, but i think you should just move on from the subject afterall this is a bodybuilding website, and whilst its not a nuthuggers site and your point of view is noted, the continuous negative barb is getting more than old, just accept bodybuilding for what it is, and get on with life. Its never going to be a mainstream money spinner, bodybuilders will continually be underpaid and over medicated, but 90% of these guys arent in it for the money alone, thats obvious, by all means argue your point but not the same point in a hundred different threads. :)
-
The point of the smaller shows is to give the guys a chance to compete in the Olympia via qualification.
I wish we had bigger and better sponsors. I don't think you understand how hard it is to get $ from sponsors these days. The mainstream companies don't want to know us and the supp companies run pretty tight ships. I would like to offer more prize money and someone were to donate extra funds, it would go to the competitors.
I have promoted bb for 20 years now and would not continue if I hated it. I am trying to give honest answers, not to be negative.
As for name calling, I dont think rambo or tiger are too harsh. Lighten up Marlon.
-
OK your point is noted.Yes all that you have said is True.Enough from me all the best for your show.

paul graham is 100 years old and has done little in terms of promoting the sport in Oz and the OZ PRO SHOW
TONY DOHERTY IS THE MAN OF OZ BB AND HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS
KUDOS TO TD FOR HIS EFFORTS AND PASSION FOR THE SPORT
GAYFATHER- WHY DONT U GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, STOP BEING ANOTHER GETBIG PUMPKINHEAD/NEVER WAS/NOBODY/LOSER AND GO BACK TO MICKEYD'S AND ASKING THE CUSTOMERS IF THEY WOULD LIKE FRIES WITH THAT
-
i think godfather has turned the corner by his last post, insulting him is only going to encourage him to revert back to the old negativety, Just move on GF. For the record Paul Graham is a thorn in the side of Australian bodybuilding and always will be.
-
You are Right Honest I have turned the corner. So The Swampi can SHUT THE FUK UP WITH THE NAME CALLING AND DO AS DOHERTY SAYS PROMOTE A FUKIN PRO SHOW
-
truly great line up with shittest money.i would never understand why someone would go all the way to australia to compete for few thousand bucks.series of grand prix competitions in Europe and uk with few days difference does make some sense but this is totaly absurd.
umm..I've seen first hand how the pro's get treated in Australia by Tony and his team.. Sometimes it's got to be more than what's put in your bank account... what about expenses paid trip, what about experiencing a different culture & meeting overseas fans?? Why wouldn't any pro want to come and anyway the pros can earn some good $ by selling their own merch at the show.
-
This guy is making his pro debut at the Aussie show; Mike Ketalianos Overall and Class4 winner Int German Mastership
-
Chick if your reading this here is another IFBB Pro I am sure you Don't know.FFS :-\and he calls himself their Rep.

Ah, professional bodybuilding contests. Godfather tells it like it is. That is the sad reality. The Aussie show isn't worth the prize money but some might enter just to qualify for the Olympia. What a bloody circus this professional shit is. Who started this crap of qualifying as a professional? That is a clever way to totally control the bodybuilders. Asskissing starts early in every bodybuilder's career. That is especially so in Australia.
Now why doesn't someone post when this contest is and how much it costs? That would be a start. Oh, I know it is there at Tony's site. Not good enough. The IFBB contests cost too much for what you get. A pity because not that many go and yet there are gyms everywhere. Something is wrong if you can't fill a hall with overseas champions. Who wants to sponsor steroid freaks? Huh?
The IFBB is so sick nobody knows what to do so they plod along with the same stuff year in and out. Well, there are fewer contests lately. This can't be a good thing for the sport.
Paul Graham cannot be kicked out from his position. He is there for life just like Ben Weider was. That is also not good enough. The last time I attended one of Paul's contests to support a gym member I asked Paul why they didn't introduce the competitors to the prejudging audience. He said I would have to come back at night to hear that. No thanks. The judging was enough for me. In the old days all the gym owners went to the contests. I bet few do today. That is a real shame.
Good luck, Tony, on your effort. It is appreciated by the muscleheads in Australia and especially Melbourne. I might even try to attend to say hello to some of the lads and support Lee Priest.
-

I've got my doubts that he will... The shoulder is still a problem.
-
Priest out of the comp you heard it 1st here from AVBG.Take his name of that List.
-
That's right, the so-called 'draw card' for the Aussie Pro is injured....again.
So much for Lee claiming he is a 'balls to the wall warrior'.
-
wtf, Lee is out for real?
thats fucked up.
-
I spoke to Lee yesterday, he is still training for the show and working around is injury. He will do his best to compete, I will do my best to put on a fantastic show.
As for ticket sales being down. They don't go on sale until next week, so I guess you are technically correct.
However, as much as you can hope for failure I will not be influenced by negative internet heroes.

Vince, nice to see you weighing in with your pearls of wisdom. It would be great to see you actually attend a show. You may even be surprised by how many gym owners (apart from you) actually go to shows. I get support from every state in Australia from some very good gym owners and loyal fans. You often comment on the poor state of bodybuilding, (wrong) so if you come to the show you will be qualified to comment. You may even run into Paul and maybe you guys can have a man hug or better still a wrestle. Ah the good old days.
Seriously Vince, it would be great to have you at the show. I will send some posters etc to your gym and look forward to welcoming you.

"WOW"
hows the prep going Lee?
-
Last i heard he was training twice aday, cardio twice aday.Yes his shoulder tendon is torn off,but he is still full steam ahead for Aussie show.He sees surgeon on the 28th Jan i read on MD..............So until we hear from Lee he is in show..
-
Why train? Its his show all the way!!!!!! I am cool with flea also, but skipping his tru home show (THE IRONMAN) really p'd me off!!!!

If Lee competes, I don't think Lee will do so well in this show.. He's spent a lot of time off stage and not in shape and now injured.. He'll be lucky to be in the top three behind DJ and Freeman.

They're not the same judges in Aus.. They couldn't have cared less about Lee in the PDI- no joke.

-
Are you saying the Judges in Australia are Not IFBB Judges???I don't think I undersatnd what you are saying.
On the contrary, they are all fully accredited IFBB judges but I know that some of them would have little idea what happens outside of the Australasia.. Which generally equates to fairer judging as they don't really follow what happens (personality wise)on the US or European circuit- being able to judge a physique and not the person/personality.
-
Well said AVGB
All the judges are IFBB judges, we have some Aussie, some New Zealanders and usually bring a couple from USA or Europe.
What he is saying is that Australia and NZ judges dont get to judge in USA very often.

If the IFBB held grudges....Lee would never have been let back in...

You're wasting your time bro....losers dont understand the concept of achievement, of a goal, of climbing the ladder to success....much like a college student who pays to go to schol, who gets nothing upon getting a degree....but it's all in the hopes that it will pay off, that a bigger payday is coming.
10,000 probably wasnt a lot of money to Jay Cutler, or Ronnie Coleman, or Dexter Jaxson when they won their first show either....but it sure paved the way for a whole lot more, didn't it?

In a Grand Prix format/environment it is decent money, particularly if you're already in shape from doing a previous comp or if you have another show ahead.

Tony, why are you letting these idiots get to you, you have a super hot wife, best gym in Australia and run the best and only pro show in the country. F*&K these people trying to put you down, I havent missed one of your shows. Peace!! See you in March. Leon Carlier.
-
No Attack to anyone just think 10k 1st place is NOTHING just saying, No need to get ANGRY little man. :-\
10k in these times is not so bad, and the way I hear it Tony treats these guys really well so id say it would be well worth it for a lot of these guys 8).

The Aussie Pro just got a whole lot better with the inclusion of Kai Green.
Add this inclusion to Lee Priest, Toney Freeman, Silvio Samuel and Dennis James and we have one of the best line ups ever.
Check out the giant street poster which will be up all over Melbourne streets next weekend.
Here is the official A2 poster for the gyms, fans and collectors.

Mel Gibson will join the ride too ;D
Mel didn't show up but we had a good ride anyway. 50 riders showed up, so I expect 100 plus for next years ride.
Here are a couple of shots from our Australia day ride. (That's me at the front in 1st pic and centre in the 2nd)

I wish him luck!!! I hope that he will place in top 5's!!!

Mike Kefalianos will definately be one to beat in this show!!
I predict 3rd place.

3RD Place is a big call but then again I guess he is Australian. :-\

He's not Australian, the description is wrong.
Mike is Greek!
-
I think also that Con Demetriou is a Greek. He lives in Australia.
-
Yassou it's good to see another Helot competing but Con D lives in Arizona USA.He may say Australia for this show as it seems to help with placings.

Con D actually lives in Thailand for 10 months of the year.
-
Have you seen the pics of Lee he won't be in the Australian show. No Sponsor would want their athlete on stage in that condition. Priest should do the Arnold next year and he has more time to recover.
-
You're right no way he'll be ready.
-
It's Not like they don't have many competitors the list is huge and with Dexter there it doesn't get much higher standard.
-

Toney Freeman, Dennis James, Sivio Samuel & Kai Green.
Yeah terrible standard and if Lee makes it it will be a real bonus.
-
I think also that Con Demetriou is a Greek. He lives in Australia.
Both Con and Michael have Australian passports.
-
Dexter came back and won my show last year, 2008, stupid. Then he went on to win the Olympia. He wont be doing my show this as he is spending the whole year getting ready for the next MrO.
Thanks for the spelling lesson and the IQ assessment, I don't know how I got this far in life without you.
Now put that thinking cap back on and see what you come up with you mental giant.

People here say Mr Graham is nothing in BB in your country
People can say what they like, Paul still runs bb in Australia. He has always had my respect and always will. He gave me a chance 21 years ago and has always stuck by me.
No one gets their pro card in Australia without Paul's approval. She earned it and did quite well with it.
I could not have started the pro show here without his blessing either, what's your point?
Do you ever have anything pleasant to say or is it all doom and gloom in your world? (serious question)
-
Lee is going in for surgery this Wednesday which will make it impossible to compete on March 14th.
He will still be there to meet and greet the fans and to have a chat on stage.
I guess that will make the haters kind of happy. (Like rooting their own relations)
I didn't include him as a competing athlete on the poster just in case this happened. See you in 2010 Lee, always welcome in my show.
Tony
-
People here say Mr Graham is nothing in BB in your country
Reading through this thread its clearly obvious you dont know what you are talking about - the Con comments are way, AVBG is correct.
Of course Amanda got her pro card through Paul. Same way Americans get theirs through Manion or whoever dishes them out in the USA, and same way my people get them through the IFBB head honcho down here. Its a pointless statement to make.
No one wakes up and finds a pro card in their bathroom sink, they are get them from someone/where, so I don't see your point.
And off topic, but why you insist you are a black woman I don't know, I can pick my sistas out a mile away and you are so obviously male ::)

Seems Hank was RIGHT again he called this months ago. Lee was never going to do this show. :'(
-
I made the call months ago!
I have been proven correct.
Now, let the show go on!
It is time to wipe the slate clean.
There has been a lot said about the Aussie line-up. At the end of the day, i hope for a successful show.
Yes, i was right in my call. And yes, i endured a tirade of abuse for it! However, it is time to move on.
New Hank Wood.
-
Welcome back Hank I am sure Mr D will stop with all the name calling now as all you did was state the Truth. :-\
I said I would post as soon as I knew something, as I did.
Hank is capable of wishing us well and I am sure there is a good side to him.
You on the other hand are still boring, predictable, stupid, negative, unpopular and confused.
-
I made one negative post about your Show. I wish you all the Best all I have said is the 10k Prize money seems LOW.
-
This is the first time you have wished me well, your comments about prizemoney are repeated over and over, long after you made you point. You are constantly having little digs and trying to get a bite. Perhaps I got you mixed up with godfather along the way.
Maybe this can be a turning point. I try to answer all the questions that I can, including the ones about Lee, Paul, prize money and anything you come up with.
There you go, I made a post without calling you any names.....
-
Tony, you have always been community spirited.
And yes, you do have an unquestionable passion for the sport.
Again, i wish you well for this year's show.
The economic climate is biting us all. I hope you come out ahead (profit wise) with this one.

Wow, I cant believe so many girls here are waging war on TD. I suspect you all secretly have a fetish for his connections as this is the closest you can get to a private session.
On a neutral standpoint (as are all of you, lol) I will relate to you my accounts of Toney from years past.
I attended his Pro Shows in 01, 02, 03 and 04. They were all great shows and were enjoyed not only be many fans but by the athletes as well. On many occasions, seasoned pro's have mentioned to me (and other Pro's) that the Australian G.P. was one of the best shows they have ever competed in. Toney takes care of needs in regards to food availability, cooking facilities, travel and accomodation expenses and running of the show (and MC'ing). The athletes also mention that the fans are the best they have encountered and they do well in $$$ from merchandise sold.
My friends and I (who have attended many Pro Shows) have always enjoyed the Aussie GP. I say if you havent been there, you cant give an opinion.
And my wife shares the same values - bigger isnt always better.
Hope to see you this year Tony. Its about time I visited Oz again.

Thanks for your nice comments Kris, we must be doing something right, it is the 9th pro show this year and shaping up real well. It would be fantastic to see you again, let me know for sure so I can show you the best hospitality possible. I will put away a couple of press passes for you until you tell me otherwise.

all the best messiah, im sure it will be a great show! look forward to seeing dennis james again.
it would be great to have someone like darrem charles comeout. great physique amd amazing poser!
-
On the contrary, they are all fully accredited IFBB judges but I know that some of them would have little idea what happens outside of the Australasia.. Which generally equates to fairer judging as they don't really follow what happens (personality wise)on the US or European circuit- being able to judge a physique and not the person/personality.
you seem to be on the pulse avbg and seem to know your stuff. i read alot of your posts and yes some are shit and meaningless but most are on the money. i know you live in australia so if you had to rate your best aussie pro who would it be?? i think jon davie is even though we still have not seen much of him lately, but in 2002 or 2003 (i forget) he was on the money big time and i have not seen an aussie come close to that besides lee priest but he was not living in australia at the time.
plus im from qeensland so i go for jon. luke wood is ok but never hits his peak, his offseason seems to be better than precontest. i have no idead what ivan sadic looks like, ive heard freaky but have to wait and see??

Best ever Aussie pro would be between Sonny Schmidt
-
Priest has been and always will be Australias Best.Even at his worst he beat your Davie who placed LAST at the Olympia.Sonny was Great but not as good as Priest.Doherty was good when on stage competing almost won his Pro card.
-
tony doherty competed??
-
Best ever Aussie pro would be between Sonny Schmidt
may he rest in peace, he was awsome! but my question was current pro's competing today??
-
tony doherty competed??
Yeah I competed in the 80s and early 90's.
I was never good enough to go pro but got sliced at both 90 and 100kgs.
After I finished competing I actually got a lot better, training for the Olympias with Sonny through to '97. I might put up some pics one day.
He was an awesome bodybuilder and a ripper bloke, I miss him every day. (RIP brother)
The best we have now is Lee, by far. Jon davie is an awesome bodybuilder but only competes every few years. I think both Ivan and Con can have possible futures.
It is a tough gig as a pro sometimes standing next to the best makes you improve, sometimes it can scare you off.
-
may he rest in peace, he was awsome! but my question was current pro's competing today??
Ok on recent era/form it has to be Lee Priest (just before his injury he won three shows including the 06 Ironman).
John Davies although a great bodybuilder has been quiet in recent years - I'd like to see him compete again but as he works as a rep for a supp company in Qld he's interests may not be with competing.
Luke Wood's profile in the last 4 years had progressively increased and he wasn't without his fans in Australia- Luke was a good supporter of the Aus pro gp an props to him for that.
Other guy's we'll see compete like Ivan Sadek is looking to make waves in the Aus show. For those who havent seen Ivan I am sure he'll impress in a couple of weeks.
Also not forgetting Con Demetriou, he's got a real classic look to his physique and he'll be one to watch move up the ranks when he's physique matures, he's recently trained with Charles Glass.
I've seen Tony's pics - he had a great phyisue

Ask Hank about my "Thyroid Storm", he knows more than me! ;D
I have never competed in the Ironman, but the show you are referring too is the 2005 New York Pro. My problem is i normally look like that 9 mths of the year, except when i start dieting ;D. But im resting up and who knows what the future will hold?? ;)
-
Sonny was Great but not as good as Priest.Doherty was good when on stage competing almost won his Pro card.
Sonny was a kiwi born Samoan , he moved to oz later in life.
-
Hey Luke, I will miss you in the show this year. You are a gentleman and a fuckin champion!
Luke has been my most regular Aussie in the show and has more than proven himself as a top pro. Luke may have messed up a couple of times but he nailed it more times than not. He has done more with his chosen sport than most people will do with their whole lives.
Say a big Hi to your family for me mate, see you in a couple of weeks.
-

is this not the australian grand prix? ::)

luke always came in condition i will give him that but seemed to over do to much with dieting etc and appear flat alot of the time. maybe if he ever hits the 2005 ny pro form he may do some damage?? but than again we might not ever see him compete again.
i respect your loyalty towards the aussie pro's tony

Best ever Aussie 'pro' IS Bev Francis

Sorry but I was not aware of my obligation to post any list for your approval.
You seem to have plenty of demands, gimmicks and questions. So what is your agenda? What makes you the chosen one?
-
Toney Freeman
Silvio Samuel
Dennis James and
Kai Greene
will be battling it out for the top three spots.
Ivan Sadek and Constantinos of Australia is competing, as well as Grant Pietrese of New Zealand, and Dexter Oscar of Tahiti. Rusty Jeffers is also coming out from the USA.
Actual final list and the deadline for competitors is this Friday, if I can correct.
This year, you have until one week from the show to declare if you are competing or not, but most know way, way out.
Wishing Tony the best at the Australian Pro.
We are in the midst of the toughest economic conditions I have seen since 1980 or so, and I didn't care back then. This year, everyone is feeling it, so I applaud Tony for making the best of the situation, and providing us around the world with a great show, showcasing some of the best competitors and bringing them to Australia.
Please give us some coverage and pics for those who cant make it!

I have been over it and over it on every boring thread that you have started. What is your problem you imbecile?
I do not hand out pro cards or approve them, I am just a promoter.
Why don't you do something to support bodybuilding instead of starting thread after thread of your negative crap.
It must suck arse to be you.
-
Of all the pro's competing, Ivan Sadek is the one I'm most interested in seeing...he is one elusive/camera shy cat! I saw a brief video of him here http://www.australia-bodybuilding.com/ivansadek.htm (http://www.australia-bodybuilding.com/ivansadek.htm) but it looks like he was none the wiser, has a creepy schmoe feel about it so misskaren and co. should enjoy it.
Like every other year, this will be a great show; smooth, on time and no doubt there will be a few surprises (recall the the fire department turning up last year because Tony went HUGE on the pyrotechnics!)
Freeman won over a LOT of Aussie fans last year and he will hear the support no doubt.
Really looking forward to it Tony, and thanks again ;)

I spoke to Ivan last night he is 115kg and peeled. He got his pro card in 2004 and this is his 1st Pro Show.
He will rock the house!

Something doesn't seem right with a guy being on an IFBB Poster when he doesn't even have his IFBB Pro card???Is there something the IFBB Greece need to know boys???.

We have Kai, Toney, Silvio and DJ. Plus another 8
Not a bad line up really. I answer your stupid questions, now here are some for you.
Why are you so bitter and negative?
Why hang around a bodybuilding board and then hate on bodybuilding?
Why all the hate for me, Chick, Mike K?
Why change internet names and then carry on with the same shit?
Let me guess, no answers just more dumb shit.
-
I can Hang around where ever I want,Don't know other internet names,Have No Hate for Chick or you or The Gift IFBB Pro card Mike Kefa. The Greek IFBB Officials want some questions answered about his IFBB Pro card but that is another story.Lets HOPE there are No Amateurs in your show he has Trouble beating them. ;D
-
You can PULL DJ from that list he is OUT. :'(
That must make you happy.
If my whole life fails you could throw a party and invite all your friends. mmm I think it would be a quiet night with only one miserable attendee.
-
Pro Athletes who have a signed contract they just can't pull out of your show.Fine them, after all his airfares and accom and all expenses have been paid for just as you do for all Pros at your show. Now it's not like you don't have signed contracts act on it.

If someone is medically unfit for travel they can pull out as stated in the contract, as for expenses we will wok it out with him direct. I am sure he will do the right thing. Everyone has signed a contract, having said that I do not rest easy until they all arrive. I want to put on the best show for the fans that we can.
-
I wish you all the best.Lets hope Kai doesn't pull a Dexter from years ago after his Arnold win.
-
You have got it wrong with Dexter, he was here and won in 2007 and 2008, both following the Arnold.
At one stage I think 2004 he said he would be back and then changed his mind. He was never on the card. I gave him a bit of shit about it on stage the next year and he has made it up to us again and again.

Hey TD, that was a great interview on PBW.

-
Plenty of Gays in Sydney should be a sell out. :-\
LOL...gays dont go to shows....just ask any of them here on the boards, and the shows in heavily gay populated areas have all traditionally tanked out due to poor attendance...
Try getting out of the house more often, you can see for yourself
-
Lets see how the IFBB places Lee when he competes.
real question - how much ass has he kissed
If the IFBB held grudges....Lee would never have been let back in...
-
Aussie pro winner will be Kai Greene
-
Whats wrong chick?
I just posted a pic of the winner of the prestigious IFBB Arnold Classic.
...where he clearly epitomizes the spirit of the IFBB.
You could have chosen to post a pic from the show...not a problem... choosing to post naked pictures of men you had on your desktop is YOUR choice and right...
-
Is that pic from the Weider library of IFBB Pros doing what comes naturally??SAD state of affairs BB has become. No Chick NO GAYS in or around Pro BB. ::)

Doesn't apply in Australia anything goes. That list I asked for only ever got Mr Dogherty angry and name calling to me and others.I knew that many would NOT turn up just as I stated NO Ronnie Rockel NO Moe and No many others it's a JOKE for paying guests.RIP OFF comes to mind.Dogherty won't be around here anymore as he will be counting all his TAX Free dollars.

It's all looking pretty ugly for the Aussie Pro's longevity right now.
Many unanswered questions.
Someone within this sport must stand up and tell the truth on The Greek.....it is an absolute disgrace!

give it a rest. the IFBB can and does invite anyone they want. Just look at the Santa Susana Pro (http://musclememory.com/male/contests/santa_susanna_pro_-_ifbb.html).
-
The recent events surrounding The Greek have 'again' placed a dark and forboding cloud over the sport.
At the end of the day, it is about truth and credibility. Without these values the competition as we know it is totally meaningless.
T.D continues to fall silent on The Greek. And to quote and overused cliche 'his silence speaks volumes'
The question remains; '' Will the Aussie Pro ever recover after this Greek-debacle???''
-
Who cares. Call him a wild card. I'm sure if you are good enough they would allow you to compete
-
How many of the Australian Pro show Judges were IFBB card holders also how many were Not Australian or from NZ.??Seems Mr Doghery does NOT want to disclose this information. What's to hide???
-
the problem with all this faux outrage over trivial matters is that it takes away from legitimate grips. of all the problems with pro bodybuilding, that someone stepped on stage that wasn't quite pro caliber is really pretty insignificant.
where was your outrage regarding Jocelyn Pelletier (http://musclememory.com/show.php?a=Pelletier,+Jocelyn) ?
Oh, I forgot. You never participate in actual discussions.
-
Tim you are Not that stupid Jocelyn won his Pro card unlike this Gift from his Promoter mate. But you know all things BB so can you tell us all here if all the Judges at the Australian Pro show were Current IFBB Pro Judging card holders. You do know they must Hold Current IFBB Judging cards just as the Pros do.It's just a question. The Greek Officials are the ones who want to know more about the Gift of a IFBB card.
-

Jocelyn couldn't win a local Grand Masters contest, but continued to be invited to the Ironman and Montreal Pro. That's ok in that the IFBB can invite anyone they want. Lots of examples in the Santa Susana Pro
But you know all things BB so can you tell us all here if all the Judges at the Australian Pro show were
I am an outsider. I have no contacts inside the IFBB Pro League.
The Greek Officials are the ones who want to know more about the Gift of a IFBB card.
why should they care? the amateur IFBB is a non-profit organization. the pro IFBB is a for profit business.
-
Tim not many here would call you an outsider when it comes to BB or facts.Your point is well taken it just seems Promoters can name call and say what they want around here and everybody believes what they Type like 20 competitors only to end up with two more than 7 judges 9 competitors. Now that is the TRUTH. :-\

We do the best we can, other shows change the list right up to the show, the Ironman changed completely from the first list they published. Some things are out of our control. It even goes on in other sports, golf, tennis, etc. YOu need to get out more toolbag!
