Totally off topics but I hope I can inspire others...
We're in our early 30's, somewhat "comfortable" financially (fuck we're rich ;D.. here.., I said it); no kids yet and most of the time buy too much food, supplies, have a 5br/3ba house only for the two of us, almost an acre and 3 cars... pretty free on the weekends and passionate about childhood development and psychology.... why not reach and change someones life?
This is pretty gay but I grew up relatively poor until I was 8 or so... I can appreciate reaching...... looking forward to making a difference in someone's life, give them hope, joy, confidence and show them Ron Avidan's photowork.........
Maybe a mini 23 is looking for a family... that kid's head is going to spin ;D

If you're serious, than good for you and your lady. Very kind of you to do this. I did it for a while. Let me tell you, it can be VERY difficult and challenging at times. Sometimes, the hardest part is dealing with the idiot parents, and even the Social Workers.

my parents raise foster children. The younger you get them, the more change you can facilitate in their lives. You can help a 9-year old, but their tendencies are set. if you raise a 2-year old, you can completely change their worlds. There are so many people who only take a few kids for a paycheck, and are essentially babysitters. It's good to see someone doing it who really wants to.

hey Alex my neighbor has around 4 foster children and let me tell you that he is the nicest and coolest guy I have ever meet, he's the type of guy who helps me work on his truck when him and his wife are getting into there car to go to dinner if I need a hand and his kids are all that polite and helping. there seems to be a stereotype of the mean greedy foster parent, this guy is the polar opposite. I think you'll be a real asset to some kids life, congrats and props dude.

Please alex, for all that is holy adopt an american kid. I was adopted at 10 years old. There are so many american kids that need parents. And seriously alex, you are a good man, I've talked with my foster parents a lot and they say it is a long drawn out process to get approved.
